I started to use this mod just recently - and it is only one forcefield mod working with ic2 and newest version of ic / railcraft/buildcraft and etc. so - question is is it maintaned anymore? i can;t find any entrance module like mffs had.

So it seems that most of you would like to see real life energy net ;)still all current would be just AC with frequency hidden, and presented voltage would be "effective" voltage.. but le it be - i'm now coding e'net so i'll include option to make it realistic. I hope full cpu core to energy mesh and whole calculation stuff should be sufficient even with realistic model
I was actually thinking of energy tiers like cable conductor has main influence on cable losses - so
in lossy order [most lossy] iron->tin ->bronze->gold->copper->silver->graphene[almost losless]
tier one - with machine / source emitting/absorbing max 32 eu/t] and cotton cable insulation for single wire
tier two - with rubber insulation - 128 eu/t]
tier three - with polymer insulation - 512 eu/t
tier four - nano polymer - 2048 eu/t
tier five - energy ducts - 8192eu/t
with all cables paintable, and foldable up to 4x (4x throughput but staying at packet size) so you can run two differently painted cables alongside without connecting and with cable ducts that allow 4 single thickness painted cables to run paralelly in one casing block.
would you think to add it as next option for voting?

yup - quick lang failure - i integrated free version of modular turrets by sandandreasp , but it is template that i will learn upon - i'll make it compatible with IC2 energy system.
Mod is not yet released-it has maybe 1/4th content active - that's why when we enable some not crashing features, we'll publish this mod on ic2 forum
Probably next few weeks will provide basic functionalities. I don't want to spoil fun by uploading broken stuff
We have been running our server for around a year, and constantly upgraded it with most recent mods. Currently It is mature enough to invite people to visit and play and soon to help testing with new AtlantisMP mod (forcefields, turrets, misiles, weapons, flying (yes you can fly your city as spaceship :P) cities, exploration vehicles etc)

sorry to revive old thread - but i found some useful info here - anyway how new e-net will be solved ? - i like idea of more "real" solution like cable being capable of current (packets/tick) and voltage being isolation limit only. - is this the case of new e-net ? any disclosure how it will be done ?
i'm for memory crystal or devastated factory burried underground - (must be at least 2000 blocks from spawn or underground)
OK - so i just started to work on this feature - addon mod for ic2 - i did a lot of coding, just not on minecraft - so i'm learning - but with little help from heroes here i think i can make it work Not just forcefieds, but a lot multiplayer pvp and pve oriented stuff I hope nice realistic (hopefully realistic to real life electricity) energy net will come soon
so no way to use mffs with current ic2 ?
actually there could be sttargate-like experience:P you can build stargate and warp into many types of worlds based on console setup like in stargate 7 symbol sequence why not ? - and huge power requirements of course - one way tunnels that open at random point in -+2000 blocks from 0 if thewre is no stargate at specified world

Fast cradft has serious isues on multiplayer servers.
Sorry to say, but railcraft trains getting disconnected, lots of lags, unnecessary unloading chunks etc.. I have installed latest forge, ic2, buildcraft, railcraft , and other mods like mo creatures, and so on - large multi chunk structures are messed , and there is a lot of problems with long distance teleporters.
Server is pretty powerful so without fastcraft it runs fine - i was checking out how "faster" it would be cobble generator with stripe pipes seems to kill client with fastcraft completelly.
I suggest optimizing cpu intensive task rather than agressive chunk unloading. (as it seems to be issue here)
