Using one of the latest version of forestry and GT 5.08.33 and getting the gt-err-001 285 for iron ingots. I realize this is some kind of error due to syntax(?) and other than begging the forestry creator to put his coding in a different format anyway to fix this?
Let me clarify iron is showing up NEI as greg-err-001 and I cannot craft anything related to to several mods with it. How do I even narrow down the culprit to report and any chance I can fix this on my own?

Any good servers still alive? I want to see how others progress and have set-up to help figure out the point 9 branch and some of the higher aspect in general. Also is they a gt machine to work with ic2 fluid reactors to generate either power or steam a bit more efficiently?
What are you trying to recycle? By default, GregTech blacklists a number of things for the recycler that are too easy to obtain in large quantities (such as cobblestone and wood), and that has been there since well before GT5u.
Several things, but not seeing a recipe at all in nei. Will try a few tweaks.
Blood Asp has said in the GT5U thread that the 5.08 branch will continue to be updated for those who dislike the balance changes in the 5.09 branch.
From my understanding it's the opposite and most of the balance changes I am okay with. I just don't like the ones that make it difficult to automate anything or add excessive grind. Like the new fing cable recipes or machine casing recipes.
Urm why can't I craft scrap with a recycler in 5.08? Checked the configs not seeing exactly why and previously I was able to, I think preGT5u. Also am I missing something with gregtech as far as advancement goes? It takes forever to get a decent set-up and these new nerfs make it very hard to automate much. Does everyone play in creative and just cheat or is masochism a thing? Also looking for a decent server just so I can figure out what other folks use as set-ups.
I have the intention of undoing most of the nerfs blood asp has added in the jump to 5.09. Is there a good place to host these scripts?

Trying to pull power from an older IC2 eu reactor, have tried several different transformers and battery buffers. Reactor is currently just a breader running at 5 eu but was 20 still not get a charge to the batteries even after depleting multiple fuel rods.
Seriously what is with the material cost jump between 5.08 and 5.09? Low end cables cost wool which is semi difficult to automate. Almost everything is more expensive. And my two biggest aggravations are charcoal and solar panels. Charcoal is used in everything from coal production to energy and the new system makes it tedious or with very low energy yields(also charcoal pit igniter does not work with thaumcraft great wood logs at the moment) and if with the new insane recipe for solar panels they are just not worth it (Palladium or Platinum!?) if folks thing they are overpower there is a config to just disable them already. Am I missing something? This new iteration just nerfs too much.
Why is everything in 5.09 nerfed so hard? Your adding new tools and machines granted but you've hit EVERYTHING with a nerf bat.
I'm not sure I understand. If the oil doesn't gen, then how do you find it? In SP, using the debug scanner states the resource in the chunk. In our MP server tho, no chunk ever has any, and no amount of using the seismic surveyor shows any. Oil, natural gas, etc. that should be there? Isn't. Even in new chunks.
The oil rig drills through bedrock, I believe it's not in the gen rather just chance based.
Outside of coding in a mine tweaker scripts for all the cables any way to disable the black wool recipes in favor of the old rubber recipes? I find the new ones pointless and just adding more grind.
Use wire cutters for that.

I may have missed something at some point. Are we still unable to break cables without destroying them? I have an lv wrench in loss less mode but it's not doing much. Still stuck using a pick. Also place-able fluids and few more ethanol recipes or nitro coal fuel would be nice. Early energy gen is rough.
Has the electromagnetic polarizer been discontinued? Not seeing the recipe for the machine itself in nei. And can't find the recipe for it. Nvm have to search under "polarizer".

there is a lilttle problem for me though, Im also using extra bees aka binniemod, and that hasn't been updated to froestry 4 yet so im kinda stuck with my version
If someone knows a way to get around that or an existing fix/port whatever there might be, i would be glad to here about that. I understood it like: "forestry 4+ GT5.09.10 have a stickyresin bee that can also produce the stickyresin comb" if thats right just don't comment on it
Thanks, but its not that i want a bee that can produce this stuff, its just that I'd like to make a little GT bee guide for my pack using quests, and i'd want to put all bees there and the ways to get them (kinda like a little "achievment system" where oyu can see your progress and maybe compete with other player on the server to see who can finish it first
but i would like the bees to have a purpose aswell, not just being astetic so thats why i asked.
