    Question is whether you can use redpower/BC to differentiate between heated and cold cells.


    can be easily resolved using an timer/sequenser to pulse every x seconds you want the cells to be switched by cooled cells.

    The v2 planner has been released into the wilds! ... I've randomly gone through the nuclear engineering section clicking on reacter link to check if they load up fine and so far everything seems okay.

    Small update:


    I hope to release 0.85 this weekend. Should fix some or all of the SMP glitches and finally add missile defense lasers/radar dishes. Unfortunately, if I miss this release window, I'm going to be too busy playing Mass Effect 3 doing important scientific research to crank out anything but a Minecraft 1.2 compatibility patch for the foreseeable future. No pressure, huh?

    just remember this, take it easy ;) no body wil come to your house to kill you if you dont finish it in time. right?...... hmm not sure thou haha

    how about when to values for the ICE, Water and Cell LavaCell in the conf could adapt :thumbup:

    no, over powered. ppl can change them at wil ruining the fun of designing an nice smooth system. maybe someone else has suggestions? :P

    i suggest ice : -150
    water : -100
    lava (here we go) : +1000 heat


    the reasoning behind the suggestions:


    the ice, wel. normal ice blocks cool for 300 heat each. concidering an normal CASUC reactor is good, but when an system error apears, there is an massive crater.
    sacrificing 50% effective cooling for 100% protection (+ some EU) seems fair to me


    the water, normal buckets cool for 200 each, you sacrifice 50% efficiency for protection, any more seems under powered since this also consumes the cells themself if i am not mistaking (consumes tin) which is in fact. equal to iron. thus seems verry expensive, and not an good option for serious reactors (only verry cheap ones)
    so, water. seems to me verry verry expensive coolant, (i might suggest an refund of the tin cells to balance it, if thats posible ofc) if it isnt, i suggest the total coolant should be alot higher then 200 ea, (i suggest 700-1000 ea, whatever suits you best)


    the lava, wel wel. expensive isnt it? +50 heat for 1 lava.... i could just drop in an bucket of lava and get +2000 WHOPA!
    i suggest making it +1000, also same story as the water cells. consumes tin. fucks up balance, i might say, make it more efficient then normal buckets. since it is more expensive on lava consumption and resource consumption.


    over all, the efficiency of each cell should be arround 50% of the normal single use coolants - heaters. this seems an fair price for total protection..

    never tried it before, i have an 1820 casuc already (and dont feel like going higher) but since it is minecraft....build what you like.... i might try it! hey ho lets go. il take an look at it


    edit: i see, i knew about this mod just never tried it before. adding the nuclear control part got me interested. thanx for developing. il post any bugs in your main thread.

    i build an small system that sends HV in an loop not more then 10 cable's
    currently i use this an an mob grinding system. is generaly verry effective and can use an simple solar panel array to ceep it fed.

    i believe i already attempted this design before, but wasnt able to pull it to an mk2 class, but here it is. mk 2

    uranium cells :5


    some small notes, the heat disperser setup is not realy the best out there, i am not proud of it. it has alot of cooldown time, can somebody take an look and posibly upgrade it?

    also, this reactor is dificult to make right, has the tendency to burn throu coolant cells if set up unproperly

    and thats why i never use an casuc on an server :D


    you should try an ice CASUC with some nifty piping.


    with nifty i mean - logistics pipe's with item detector pipes in between.
    that saved my house an couple of times, (or at least my bomb proof room)


    its not that hard, CASUC on an server, but it takes alot of (how do you call it on server? memory? :P) and is suspectible to lags.
    log pipes overcomes that, i started using that system after i accidently blew up the spawn of the word :P (half the base was suddenly gone hahaha)
    but i might start working on mass fabrication using that thou, sounds like alota fun to construct an system like that.
