Still I miss the reason why this is bad?
For some bizarre reason, saul thinks that elo its not allowed to have her own plans and/or have to let the community make the stuff she eventually its going to do.
Its not bad, like you have said its calling having control of your own project. If you think you are not allowed control of your own project then something its wrong with you.

How did he get 1.65???
Hes a Beta Tester Dahhhh.

There is no "Specific" pipes.
Its more like a rework of the original pipes to make them work normally but also make them able to use covers if RP2 its installed, thats what the api its for. Havent you unpacked IC2 Zip file and noticed there is a Buildcraft folder in there? That folder contains the API files that links BC and IC2 to make them interact if the other is detected, but if it isnt detected the mod works normally.
Also:
Quote1. Need a special BlockID.
2. A world created with RP is for ever dependend on RP
3. People just using RP-Core for BC-Pipes
4. I can only guess that it would be a bit harder to switch blocks completly if another mod is detected.
5. SpaceToad would most likely need to rewrite his pipe-system, cause of the heavy use of tile-entities for microblocks
1) Like i said its more of rework of the original pipe, so they can use the same block id.
2) A world created with BC is for ever dependend on BC too you know that?
3) I guess thats one of the reasons why mods like RP2 and BC are modular, so people install only whatever they actually need. (Although i download everything for the lulz)
4)Reworked pipes, see above.
5) This point is true, a rework of the pipe system may be necessary to make them work correctly with covers like RP2 tubes. And the difference between placing covers in the same blocks compared to the blocks around it, its about... 4-8blocks depending if you want to place the corners too.

But dont weed only appears on empty cropsticks anyway?
-
Quite the contrary, if Elo made an api spacetoad just need to add a few variables to make the pipes works with covers and thats it, if it detects RP2 then you can use the covers with the pipes if it doesnt detect rp2 it will be just plain old buildcraft.

(2) - But typically (with the majority of Community Copyrights, at least) it's actually written into the license that derivative works have to be released under the same license version as the 'core' software. It's the mindset of 'We are allowing you to build off of our work, allow others to do the same to yours'. Think 'Do unto others.'s BCWhich is not the case here, if you read the post above yours, that quoted piece was extracted straight from the mojang term of use.

How about nano-circuitry using gold as main material?
http://forum.industrial-craft.…page=Thread&threadID=4023How about we wait till Nano circuitry gets added (If it gets added at all of course) before doing something with it? Just sayan.

Plugins for the game also belong to you and you can do whatever you want with them, including selling them for money. We reserve the final say regarding what constitutes a tool/plugin and what doesn't.
If mojang says you can do whatever the f*** you want with it, then theres little to discuss anymore besides how aggresive or bad elo attitude was regarding her method to forbid the futher distribution of a submod of her own mod.

UU matter its not meant to make your life "Easier" like other mods. Besides if you nerf UU matter then you must nerf the quantum armor because the only way to make it its using iridium that only comes from UU matter.

Isn't she making some game based off of the code she makes for Minecraft? If that's still true, I doubt it will go public- ever.
Her focus have been Redpower2 since a while ago.

How about just make machine to accept EU from Non-colored cables or something?
I still dont see a practical use to coloring machines.

i bet if Elo would made an api, Spacetoad could take some of his time to make the pipes work with them.
If you are going to quote me, at least quote correctly, if Elo made an API, dependency on core file would not be needed and the rewriting of the pipes would not be so extensive.
-
Oh and actually RP has a simple reason for making tubes, that IC2 lacks. BC pipes aren't working with Frames and microblocks, which created the need for tubes. Alblaka does not actually has a reason to not point at pipes or tubes if you want a item-transportsystem, since both work well with IC2-machines.
Frame, yes. Microblocks, not so much. i bet if Elo would made an api, Spacetoad could take some of his time to make the pipes work with them.
Anyway Tubes are a much nicer system for sorting stuff while pipes are more about getting stuff from Point A to point B without too much complications.
-
Use the Ender Chest mod, then. All it adds is a new chest. Nothing else.
Also, IC2 isn't about transporting items. It's about Industrializing everything else. RP2 and BC are the main mods used for item transport, liquid transport, and sorting items.
Why add more pipes for IC2, when they can add new features that no other mod has already? (And RP2/BC are only 'complex' if you use everything the mod has- Not if you only use them to transport items (and/or liquids).)
Now that i remember both of those mods are also modular, so you can only install what you really need.

Just because something is free, doesnt made there isnt a contract behind it, although you could not call it a "Contract" but more like terms of use/agreement, that you inherently agree with when you download said free software whenever you read the terms or not. The most basic of terms it that "You will not sell or distribute said software for monetary gain" a few other terms may follow like "You will not modify in any way whatsoever or distribute said modification".
And just because the "Core Software" agree to modification, it doesnt mean that 3rd party mods should also allow modification because in a way they become a "Core" of sorts with their own terms and rules, although dependant on the first core software (In this case minecraft).
Legacy of rights doesnt really apply if the original developer doesnt said so/havent specified it, and so far Mojang as only said that they permit modification to their game (In this case minecraft) nowhere in their terms stated that said modification should also allow for futher modifications from other users.

if I support this mod by downloading it and ask 4 something reasonable it would be good to be supported instead of "it's already in that mod go and download it" or at least be told why developers don't want to add i
Just note that there are a lot of people "Supporting" this mod, and the developers can't really respond or otherwise "add" every suggestion that comes their way, they have their own vision of what the mod should be and their own reason to do this mod in the first place. Especially when there are other mods that are widely known and used that do exactly what you are suggesting, because usually those mods are made specifically to work with other mods.

I personally don't use bc nor redpower because of that and wanted a way to transport object maybe a futuristic way in IC2 style. However redpower added pipes copying bc, if to make that pipes i wouldn't have to add an entire other mod with a hundred of new ore mostly same as IC (tin and copper and even rubber tree) i would use redpower but it would be awesome to use just one mod or at last make an agreement with redpower to use the same id at last for the same objects and ores (speaking of solar panels) can't see the sense in non being inspired from other mods features... we are the only ones that stay correct the other major mods are copying each others without asking
Inform yourself before speaking like this.
First and foremost, you can disable redpower or Ic copper/tin blocks using the configuration files, and since these ores are in the forge ore dictionary it doesnt matter which ore you use.
Second, Redpower did "copy" from Buildcraft, but eloraam talks regularly with spacetoad specially about this tube system and he didnt mind at all, specially when buildcraft added their logic gates to work with the pipes and elo didnt mind either. Also buildcraft pipes works differently from redpower tubes. Inform yourself
Third solar panels cant share the same block id because one generates bluetricity and the other EU, so its a no go. (besides why do you care about block ids? mods have severely reduced the amount of blocks id needed for them in the past few months)
And we? didnt noticed you were part of the IC2 dev team.

Just download the ender chest? This mod doesnt need any method to transport items, because this mod isnt about transporting items, we already have Redpower 2 Tubes and Buildcraft pipes for it, do we really need a 3 mod adding basically the same feature? We already have enough with the different energy sources. (EU, MJ,Bluetricity,Vis,EMC,etc)

I understand all this. But whole game is for fun. I can suggest an Infinity laser, but it would not be fun any long.
Enchantments are for those, who gain and spend many xp levels. At that stage game overpowered in any way and no need to balance it. Player mostly have all he want.
I want an Industrial way to get some ore block intact. By using a special laser mode, nanocells or anything else. For some reason I did not get any opinions on my Nano suggestion, so I assume it is so bad, noone want to think about it.
Somehow I lost my drill stored in chestIt seems it was not stored with world.
We already have a infinity laser, its called powered by EU with Batpacks and Lappacks.
Most tool comes in Electric versions, so the durability enchantment its useless too.
The Nano Saber packs quite a punch, so any damage enchantment for sword becomes useless.
Like i said before we have the macerator as our ore "Fortune" enchantment.
Enchantment was just a poorly planned feature because they didnt have enough time to add a decent "Level" system because the official release was coming closer and closer. Also getting the experience for the enchantments its a drag and i bet that most people play in peaceful most of the time unless they want to farm items from hostile mobs. And balance its something you dont casually drop in the end because you already have "Everything"
Besides you can still use your enchantments if you so want, just make a diamond tool and use the enchantment table on it, problem solved. Since you already have "Everything" this should pose no problem.
