As it has been pointed out several times already, it's actually only 3x ins because you add a layer of insulation not double the insulation. It's a small detail but I think it's worth changing one number.

As the title says, you can't put redstone in bottom slot of machines. I haven't found anything about it in the changelog.

Making complete machines
(macerator,extractor,compressor,MFE) with one or more of it? (100kk energy :P)
if you have tons of energy and dont want to bore making sub-parts like circuits and stuff.I think all players who are so far in their worlds just use logistics pipes and automated crafting tables to build machine blocks, circuits and cables for them so they just need to add the small pieces to get a machine.

I have the same question, so i'm not making a new post. Is there a way to disable items such as the diamond drill and other tools or like the thread starter said, machines.
I'm just curious, why would you want disable crafting diamond drills? Without them IC is not IC anymore.

What about energy usage upgrades? I don't know if it has already been suggested, but I think it's a neat idea.
My idea is like 0.95*energy use for every energy upgrade
So: -with 1 energy upgrade every operation costs 95% of original EU cost
-with 2 energy upgrades every operation costs 90,3% of original EU cost
-with 3 energy upgrades every operation costs 85,7% of original EU cost
etc.The numbers are probably a bit imbalanced, but you get the idea.

You have to click on the output side. The output side turns to the side where you click with the wrench, so double-clicking an MFE with a wrench will always dismantle it as long as you click on the same side.

Disclaimer:I am a fan of direwolf20's let's plays which are really hard to match.
So I watched the first episode and it was pretty good. Mic quality and sound is good except for a bit of background noise from someone washing up which isn't really an issue. You could also talk about some irrelevant stuff while doing not so interesting things but you did well at keeping the conversation (actually it was a monolog) going.However, with all those different ores making something automated is going to be reaaaaaally tough. I'll definitely check out further episodes so keep up the good work.

1. I don't think it's even possible to implement such a thing to minecraft. Even if it was it's not going to happen because it would surely require a major overhaul.
