Even after reviewing all this information, I'm still unsure where my leanings are on this matter. On the one hand, with the built-in mod support, it should get mods up to date faster...but to do so would require some mods to literally start from square one again, it's sounding like, or at the very least, a considerable amount of rewriting.
Or maybe this is just the ramblings of a semi-sleep-deprived computer jockey who's reading into things too much.
For some people, there will need to be massive rewrites, but for the mods that aren't for SMP (Thaumcraft2, Twilight Forest, TFCraft) this update won't be much of a problem for them, since they never had any multiplayer aspects to begin with.
From what I have read a lot of 1.2.4 mods are compatible with 1.2.5. In theory the update from 1.2.4-1.2.5 should be an easy update but you can guarantee bugs will occur.
So, update MCForge and we can play IC2 in 1.2.5?

Sorry, i got it working, it must of been the way i did the mods, i did, mod loader, mod loader mp, audio mod, forge. I saw the thread of (cant remember the persons name who made the mod) today and i did it mod loader, mod loader mp, forge THEN audio mod and for some reason it worked, that could be the cause but i dunno haha, sorry to cause you guys any trouble
Forge and auidomod don't co-modify any classes, the order in which they're installed doesn't matter.
I tried It without the mods (I still had the rquired ones), and it still failed. I'm kinda sad because I was looking forward to the 1.2.3 release ever since I realized updating without backing up my files was a bad idea, expos-facto... oops
Works fine for me, have you updated your forge to the latest version?
I do think that Forge has officially been updated for 1.2.3 under the 'Recommended' tab.

Lex has expressed his intention of moving forge away from ModloaderMP and integrate forge with its own version of ModloaderMP.

The less dependencies one mod has, the less of a convoluted mess it becomes when they end up with MORE dependencies.
Well, it seems that Risugami has pushed out a 1.2.3 ModLoader for us. Now to wait on ModLoaderMP and Forge...
It appears Lex has pushed out 1.3.4.4 already...
I wonder if he's shrugging modloaderMP off...
edit: Just installed 1.3.4.4, modloaderMP is not required for that release.

IUseItemFirst was removed in 24, so anything before it will work fine (Unless it has some game-breaking bug....)
