Just checked out Jeb's twitter, snapshot should be out tomorrow, while the full 1.2.5 will be out next week. At least they give a head's up 
yeah... so much for 1.2.4 being the last 1.2 release. This is proving *very* annoying for the modding scene.

the joke is, that with the official mod api, mods should have good compatibility between one major version and the next major version. At least in theory no?

And the thing I hate about theories is just that, dear friends - they're theories, not proven.
We are expecting the official mod API to be at the same level as Bukkit or at the very maximum ModLoader.
Community APIs like Forge will still exist.
Yeh, but im saying that with a official api, modders should not be annoyed so much by new obfuscation of classes and such with each release isnt it?

Yeah no i cannot join any game with my Netbook when using the normal Launcher and with the old one i cannot connect to onlinemode Servers because it has no Passwordfield.
