At last some opinions
For now if you want to know current process you need to hear sounds, try to see extracted product, power consumption, nearest pump behavior. It is so easy to add a simple state indicator to GUI.
Also it seems so dumb to extract scanner from stopped miner just to use it and insert back.

CF doors, and pressure plates too, maybe? Would be nice to actually have a correctly colored door and pressure plate that isn't just Wood/Stone/Iron/Reinforced Stone.
How about Reinforced glass pressure plate? Pressed by players only. Almost or completely invisible so it would blend with block under it.

There is no electricity in minecraft.
Not a Redstone signal, not a EU, not a BC energy, not even the Blutricity. They all have different laws, but nether of that is electricity. -
Terence David John Pratchett's Laggage Chest? Want it definitely! But it's magic, not industrial.
Doubt you will get tech walking laggage. -
Better idea: how about refillable spray cans that accept dye via the canning machine, and can paint about 4x longer than the Painters?
Spray cans definitely should paint a lot of blocks at once.

I suggest already watermill to give power proportional to quantity of waterflow blocks above it plus one if still water block on top. Water need place to flow out.
Best if RS signal can close water flowing.
This can lead to cool looking waterfalls made by players and quite logic.
Developers are silent about it. May be they do not want to change water flow ways. -
I want Miner to show what he is doing:
Under drill slot, please, show icon of block processed or block prevented working.
Under scanner slot remaining ore value would be very helpful. -
You will get the problem when other biome unloaded.

1: 1% is too much (if you place alot of them)
You cannot place "alot" as it should touch reactor and at lower heat level water cooling is more effective. Anyway value can be changed but I want cooling proportional to heat.
Quote2: it recycles wasted heat that is "released" on environment ,increasing even more the effectiveness (considering all IC² generators that use heat waste about 60% of thermal energy as RL does)
Geothermal generator generate energy from thermal exchange between lava inside and environment outside. If you interfere with that exchange, gonerator's output will be lower.
Quote3: maybe, but very unlikely to be added since it could be an infinite alternative energy. Unless it generates a very low amount of energy (useful for underground stuff)
[Nuclear heat Recycler + lava block = 0.2 EU/t]So from warm generator you want to get more gain, than from hot lava flow? Thermal energy cannot be balanced with current lava behavior.
Quote1:I want the reactor thing to be a good external cooler, but also a way to use heat to produce extra energy. Reactor cooling/energy producing thing can be even more expensive if needed (64 plates?)
Choose wisely more size in reactor or more cooling for reactor.
Quote2:Human body uses food to produce energy, 40% of it is used 60% is wasted by producing heat, and that heat is released to environment [at least most part, some is used to keep us warmed].
I doubt anyone want to check player's heat constantly.

Seems good.
So how much EU needed for full charged Quantum-suited player to be damaged/killed? -
[Edit]
Nuclear Heat Recycler [8 plates + HV cable] {block that must be adjacent to any chamber/reactor}
Uses 1-3 reactor heat per second to produce extra 0.1EU/t per uranium pulse. [1 when reactor is cold, 3 when is near critical]May be take 1% of Heat to produce proportional quantity of EU? Water block must be on the side, opposite to reactor.
QuoteIf placed adjacent to any generator/geogenerator increases its output by 10%
Not for Geo because it is thermal already.
QuotePS2: anything that actually produces heat can be used to generate energy using those plates.
like lava block?

Thermal recycler plates.
Thermal recycler plates converts heat (using Thermoelectric effect) from any source and generates a very small electric current.Recipe:
Glass [RL uses crystals of Bismuth telluride] + HV Cables + glowstoneHGH
GRG
HGHA = HV cable
G = Glass
R = Glowstone dust
Are you sure to use High Voltage cable in "very small electric current" device?QuoteHeat Recycler armor
Seems energy from food anyway.
QuoteSolar Heat Recycler [1 plate + tin cable]
Solar Panels uses High frequency radiation (Ultraviolet) to generate electricty.
Add a Thermal recycler plate into its battery slot to allow the use of Low frenquency radiation (Infrared -> heat) to produce electricity (increasing output by 10%)so small gain?
QuoteNuclear Heat Recycler [8 plates + HV cable] {block that must be adjacent to any chamber/reactor}
Uses 2 reactor heat per second to produce extra 2EU/t.
If placed adjacent to any generator/geogenerator increases its output by 10%Extra way to cool reactor? Increase voltage even more?
QuotePS: Static boots uses the piezoelectric effect + static energy from walking right?
No, static charge effect
-
Actually both, damage is calculated by voltage, damage is applied when there is a current.
LV deals less damage than MV that deals less than HV that deals less than EV , this making EV extremely deadly (if you touch a cable passing EV unarmored, you die in 2 or 3 damage ticks)Tin cable cannot handle more than 5 EU, but can damage somehow. In Wiki 1 point of damage is 64 EU. How can it be?
-
So damage done by current, not voltage.
-
Yes, I got static charge in wool boots on synthetic floor.
It seems I misunderstoood worls "static" in boot's name. I've seen it add energy from walking, did not see jumping.
I would be glad if Quantum Boots will be able to collect energy from fall damage and release it with BOOST+JUMP. I see in wiki, "jump higher" is a Quantum Leggings's job, but... -
Will be any real EU loss if cable connected to nothing?
Can damage be detected if cable connected to something? -
Although it is possible to make energy by falling you really would never want to walk with shoes that does this. It's like always walking in sand which is incredible annoying. So as tradeoff jumping or running with Pants, Shoes should create more exhaustion while producing a bit energy.
As for real life if energy not adsorbed on low level, no exhaustion, only damage protection.
As for game, jumping 1m up to the next step or 1m down is not so rare. If extracting energy from jumping up leads to logical exhaustion, when collecting landing impulse as energy is only the good protection. -
May be remember hunger level and keep it while wearing?
-
You mean Superconductor...
So rename Fiber Optic cable to Superconductor and remember, it cannot be used for really high energy flow.
By the way it has smallest energy loss. -
This option in config would be good, but some ingame method better.
