... Did you realise it would cost TONS OF EU and TONS OF CROMIUM + IRIDIUM + ... you know ... I mean, I would use that if these recipies were using 120 000 000 EU to start, and then GENERATING like 2048EU/t ... (which is really almost nothing, but hey, that's Aston curve) It's not like you can't already get tons of Iron with GT ... I'd agree about automating Tungsten (even though you can already make it with Lava ...), but Iron isn't really that valuable with GT.

I also thought of a machine that would use some metals in a slot, then turns these into a more or less Liquid form, to use it more efficiently for some particular crafts: Iron Bars, Cells, maybe Machine Blocks, every tools which wouldn't induce exploits (so not the one you can macerate), but also things such as 4 Tin + 1 Electrum + 3 cables--> Circuit, 1 Silicon Plate + 6 Tin + 4 Electrum + 8 Cables --> 4 Circuits or 2 Tin + Silicon Plate + 2 GlowDust + 2 Lazurite + 3 Electrum --> 2 Advanced Circuits since it'd be logical (Tin is IRL used for cheap circuitry, because of it low melting point and because of being quite cheap itself) and would make tin quite valuable (at least more than it is currently). However, since Tin would be very used by these types of recipies, I think it'd make Zinc to every-Tin-based recipie possible BUT in thus machine.


The Machine should contain one of your assemblers-like + maybe the bending machine, a Mining laser and some energy flowings circuits ...

As for the planned Steam-converter upgrade, will it work with every kinds of machine ? I mean, I can assume using steam for Mechanical Energy or Thermal Energy (because of water enthalpy) would be more efficient, but for Electrolyzer, exctractor or MatterFab ... Btw, excluding Electrolyzers and MatterFab would be balanced since these are the one allowing energy benefits ... (with Centrifuge, wich is however different because of the lows amounts of energy it consume)

Btw, windmills are an excellent way to produce energy, but hey, it's not absolutely "clean", since you'll need tons of concrete (way less than Nuclear though ^^) and some not really renewable stuff like some special-light-glass-like, but above all, it's not like you can make some windmills powerplant everywhere, or it'll quickly become unefficient ...

About solar, the whole point of it is "easy to use", as in IC², but the fact is 1 kWh (=3600kJ) using solar costs about 25 cents (euros) for photovoltaïc, 15 for thermal ... while Windmills = 7, Hydro electricity = 5, Nuclear = 4.7 and Coal = 4.5 ...

And it's not entirely "pollution free", since it need (not counting CO2 transport + setup costs) things such as ... mercury, or others toxics chemicals (depends on the type of pannel).
