@bove But Solars are possible to build in Real Life, Fusion Reactors sadly aren't.
But Thorium-based reactors would be enough to keep producing energy for mankind need for ... millions of years.

Wormholes and Stargates? :3
That'd be a bug of the universe. Because that would induce nature-exploits, such as "teleporting" proton at 1*10^-100000 m of another proton, and so creating an insane amount of energy. And, even assuming it could be feasible, tnot to be "exploitable", the universe-laws would have to make that teleportation-like very energy-intensive, depending on the area you wanna go to (otherwhise it would break the conservation principle, which is, at least to me, the fundamental one).
I was talking about the Theoretical Mining of large Clusters of Antimatter using electromagnets. We found tiny little Traces of it in space, and its Possible that there are entire planets made of the stuff since the universe is so freaking big.
yeah but ... how do you think we would find these planets with our way of travelling space ? I guess the best we could do would be to join another galaxy, using a giant Biosphere-ship. So no way to harvest things so far.7
Btw, Converting Antimatter into energy is quite hard ... especially since gamma rays are unusable to heat something, generate electricity or such ... (they can theoretially, but not in a accurate way, I mean the best way we would have to use these would be to contain some slowly-liberating-antimatter-cell to heat something, making kind of a Heat Battery. (Same as for Nuclear thingies)
Antimatter mining
That will never happen. At least, Antimatter generation, coming from Solar Satellite-power plant. (because it would be "easy" to transport).
The problem with that is a few reasons. 1. The name is wrong. MFFS is Monazit and in RL it is Monazite. (small complaint) 2. It results in Forcicium too...what is that supposed to be? I'm telling you, MFFS should use IC2 power! This forcicium nonsense is weird. 3. It only results in that small amount of thorium. It should result in Silicon, Helium AND Thorium. 4. Monazite is found in placer deposits. Should be found in deserts most often and in the ground a bit too. 5. That is a different mod. Not everyone uses MFFS. I consider it to be a bit OP. Kill everything inside the force field? Can withstand the force of any amount of nukes and explosions? I refuse that.
Agreed. Makes it a Nether (assuming Nether = Core of Minecraft Planet, if there is such a thing ^^) Ore. Or an End one. Or implement Radioactive Ore being Monazit + Anthracite
I think your link is good enough Sirus (I laughed to the "unless it's a banana phone" ^^)
Btw Sinnaj, I guess you're thinking Nuclear Reactor are slightly dangerous, because of Heavy Water. The point is, that heavy water is (supposed to be, without issues ^^) contained in a CLOSED tank, it's just used to transmit the heat to the second water circuit, but also as a moderator. (and, I guess also because it ower Neutron speed, and so increase the rate of fission/emitted neutrons). And the water from the second circuit is clearly not radioactive. Maybe about 10% more than natural water ... but if you looked at the link, you have seen than area like the Colorado Plateau or Brittany (yes, I know, I'm one of the only there knowing Brittany, because it's in France but ... ) is naturally more than 100% above the average. So 10% is nothing. DO NOT CRITICIZE NUCLEAR ENERGY, IT'S THE FUTURE!
Really, what I would like to see is a bigger requirement for uranium. The amount of uranium required per solar is really not enough (in hard mode). I don't care about the OP easy recipes.
I disagree with that, since it tend to nerf Nuclear Reactors. I'd better see 3 diamonds instead of one Ura (with GT though, otherwise the UUM-->Diamond is just too easy to get ...)
Radioactivity? WHAAA?
Anyone who thinks Reactors output a ton of Radiation into the Envirement needs to learn what "Coal" is
Yup, and btw, Nuclear Reactors are responsible of about 5% of the radiation level 5 km around ... which is nothing when you think that it can naturally vary of 50% of the average radiation level to 150%. (Mostly depending on the ground)
No joke about will not use them. I have basically quit forestry because of the multi block farms.
... To me it's quite better, I just accepted playing with Forestry since Multi Blocks farms. It was way too OP before.
@bove So you don't know how to craft basic stuff/circuits/planks/... ?
lol. Could you remind me please, on how I could get a stone pickaxe ? No, I mean, almost every recipe involve a little possible exploit, even if it's not OP. Just like you can actually create Iron out of tons of Carbon with GT (and you'll get tons of EU! ^^): Just place windmills way too high and without obstructions, unlike SpwnX setup, to make them break ...
Also, talking of Fertiliser, IC2 Fertiliser should be able to be used in Forestry Multifarms (but for less as its a little cheaper), providing an actually possible fully automated Farm.
I guess the fact it's not fully automatable for now is INTENDED. So I hope that won't be done a day
1)[Nether Anthracite and Radioactive Isotope]
Well, remember of the old post I made about Anthracite and such ? I thought you could/should make it spawn like the other Nether Ores, but with a maximum of Ores per chunk even higher, but with an average of Ore per chunk quite lower. And I also thought you should replace that "Anthracite Ore" with "Radioactive Anthracite Ore", so it would be more Thorium-esque(/C14, because I suggested ... well, I guess you remember), with a bit less of Coal. So that would be a way of buffing Thorium, since its got nerfed and since I suggested to makes it unobtainable from Coal Ore (but Firedamp would actually be cool :D)
2) Thinking with a scientist point of view, I suggest you to make Methane 5 time rarer from recipes (so 4 H2-cells + 1 O2-cells would give only one Methane Cell) but make it more energetic instead. (so 1 Methane Cell would worth 225 000 EU). So it'd be more logic in terms of chemistry/density (in mol.L^-1)/Stoechyometric thingies.
3) What about Multi-Block Nuclear Reactor "components" ?
I mean, I thought we could add up to (8+8+4=20 blocks) which would affect the reactor, like some external vents, that would cool the reactor down, just like others, but without taking anyslot, or even Reflectors block, that could randomly add some pulse based on the numbers of pulses emitted by the cells, or some HA-Casing Machine Blocks to increase the global efficiency (as an example, one block could add 1% of efficiency, so 20 HA-Casing Machine would add 20% of the EU output per tick).
But we do memorize most of the recipes just not all of them
Then, my brain is a special one: it seems it tends to memorize only the one that could involves exploits (btw, sometimes not OP , almost intended exploits). Maybe it's working like the SpwnX brain ? ¨¨
What about making Tin needed by some machines, like a low tier assembling table, that would make Circuits and Advanced Circuits at a cheaper cost in Cables/Electrum but would instead cost tin ? I'm saying that, because Tin is very used for cheap circuits fabrication, and that'll be fun storing liquid tin to run these assemblers
Btw, since Tin would become more useful, maybe you could implement some Zinc to Cells-like recipies.
But you can still generate exp with macerator and furnace right?
I thought he meant you can even though you automated the system ... but it's quite illogical, unless it's summing the xp from differents process ... which I doubt
Something like RP2's Windmill would be better, a large thing that needs alot of space.
Yup, GT should add that. Using Al/Ti :). That'd be an even more efficient energy source, but that'd consume some metals, so it couldn't be used as a cheaty UUM-maker.
