That souds really cool :D. Not realistic (Plasma to store energy ? lol. In theory, plasma contains less energy than air, but also is lossing a lot of its own energy due to emitting light and others things but ... this is cool anyway ^^). An even cooler thing would be to add stuff that would be useful, even with GregTech (because actually I quite like how you did it, but GregTech already added better than MFSU storage :/). What about a better than Nuclear Reactor, working on the same way but renawable/more efficient ? I'm quite annoying always to wish playing with Nuclear Reactor, I know ^^.
Or you could make an even better than GregTech Grinder, needing your awesome plasma cells (don't know why, but you'll find one ^^) and working the same way as Mass spectrometer ? ^^.
I also like the rare earth exctractor, I guess Greg could add some recipie with centrifuge/electrolyzer :). But ... it would be nice making it more useful: an example would be to make it usable as a replacement of glowstone/redstone/lapis, with alternative recipies ? Rare earth are often used for advanced circuitry and hardware ![]()

I agree they should be usable for more things (Fuel is already feasible with, but hey, GregTech is way better to use Fuel ^^).

Anything is "cheating" to someone. Minecraft is exceptionally open to being played in many different ways; the only strangeness I tend to notice is when someone thinks their way is the only way and goodness-forbid one should ever think of doing it any other way. Usually, I laugh a lot when someone suggests that.
Yeah, you're right. I meaned: Forestry is, to me, breaking the balance of IC², GregTech, BC and some others. Bees are fun, because they're hard to get (with hard configs ^^) but I PERSONALLY THINK this way of generating bio stuff is too easy, cheap, and too easy to automatize. Thinking I can do the same thing with RP2, I'll prefer using RP2 thingies, even if because it's a lot more expensive.
But...that was "uebersaw", not "ubersaw" XD I main Engineer, but I do play Spy and Medic a lot.

Turbine solar generator (Fallenbeast), heats at day , generates energy with heat, cools down (a bit) during night but still generates energy, requires water.
I knew that, I already played with it ^^. (and I was talking about something more advanced, involving coolants and cells, as the Nuclear Reactor, but infinite).
Tech IV thingies are denied currently ... Although I would like something in the Nuclear Reactor style (I mean for the guy), producing less EU but infinite, as solar pannels. Maybe something like a MultiBlock solar pannels wokring on heat, with cells heating from sun and generating energy by this way. If yu just want a generator that generate more than solar pannels without needing the sun and producing more EU, play GregTech
(the Dragon-Egg based generator).

Seriously, I've once encoutered this problem, and it is no longer on more recent version of IC².
That's why I don't like Thaumcraft - you already know there is golems, but you need to pass through a lot of annoying researches.
I strongly disagree with that: the point that is ruining all the fun, is the fact when you've played TC3 once, you already know how to proceed to get your discoveries ![]()
(Guess why I suggested to Greg making a research system based on random chemical components, that would change at each world generation ? ^^)
Won't happen for IC². IC3, maybe. Or with some addons. Also, did you see my suggestions for Chemical Research for GregTech ?
My suggestion would have been a way to introduce a research system without being a huge overhaul for all IC².
But I would love to see any research system in IC². I would suggest making it working by hand (fast, will cost sometimes some materials) or with machines (mass spectrometer, Particle Collider, computer or something else ... would be way more expensive, and it would need insane amounts of EU, but for those that consider it as a pain ... ^^. At least it would be a way to be sure to get what you want (or to get A discovery, and not to get nothing).
Generator has advantage before Geothermal Generator because wood and, therefore, charcoal is probably the most renewable resource, but after 10 stacks people usually realize, thought green gens is more expensive, you don't need to mess with chopping trees every time you need energy. It will be boring process even if you buff it. Probably because of that generator achievement called "Suitable Power".
Then buff non renewable Fuels ^^. Moreover, Generator are used, by users of cheaty-Forestry.
I think it's a bug, even if I've never tried using piston on machines (guess it works as well as RP2 Frames with ^^) but ... you could make it work without pushing Tesla Coils with Piston you know ?
Fuel based generators are never going to cover the ~400 EU/t my macerator bank consumes when I load up all 4 of them.
Or the teleporter MFSUs, dear god the 1.4 million EU it takes to make a trip one way is bad enough already.
Yup. That's why they should be buffed, because if a feature isn't used, then remove it or makes it useful, right ? I know some players start with the Generator ... but as the Geogen isn't that more expensive, what happen very often is that nobody use the Generator. At least GregTech buff it (not the generator in itself, but this way of generating energy), what is cool ![]()
