But hey, if people want to use limited resources for energy generation, go right ahead.. *engages biogas/hydro reactor*

I'd rather just take the time to craft cobble bricks or Marble bricks and such than mess with CFoam again...
Mostly because of the upcoming nerf, and the fact that there are much cheaper materials to build as well than it...
QuoteNow I know I got it wrong but soo many people gave good ideas that ill post them.
Alblaka you
shouldmake meteorites fall really rarely in the minecraft world(rarely like lightning hitting a pig and a creeper at the same time or whatever you desire) and that meteorites should have metals, random ores and in a super rare chance some iridium ore that would need to be processed like some people said by using uumatter in a cell with it and putting it in a nuclear reactor (UUMatter needs to be less than the used to make one piece of iridim by crafting table).
Hope you like the idea that was given by some of the people that commented.
This sounds like something useful for the Rocket Science add-on.. would love to see it implemented whenever Kenington gets the chance to add his lunar dimension to the game (if he can, that is...)
QuoteSo I guess that's my new and final suggestion. Please implement a Windmill and Water Wheel like in Better than Wolves.
No...
Not because it would look goofy for mess up current water mill layouts, but because it's not our place to copy identical looks from other, lesser, mod developers...
(Not to mention Eloraam has already done a good job of taking away almost ALL of the utility usefulness from that mod as is anyway...)

for ic2 startup i generaly:
1. collect wood
2. dig temporary underground base
3. start burning wood into charcoal
4. make staircase from base to lvl 12
5. dig around for tin, copper and redstone.
6. go back up and search for a rubber tree.
7. create generator, extractor, macerator and batbox (in that order)
8. start building solars
after that i just do what i want really. no real order of doing things.
Fairly standard 'build' to be honest. First 4 machines are the goal you want to shoot for early game in Minecraft... Then, you have a few decisions you can go for as your beginning resources climb up.
9. Choose a base set of energy production
- Geothermal
- Wind, Water, or Solar
- or Standard Generator (either by Charcoal of Fuels)
10. Expand energy capacity
11. Advance your manufacturing capacity
12. Enhances your resource gathering capabilities
These are about a few choices that you can do mid-game...

Not sure that I agree with these changes... I got a few houses that'll get real dark soon after this change. Is this to encourage Redstone lamps or what?
If you want a Monopoly on resources, then play SSP...
If you can't share worth a shit, then why are you even on a server... to gloat?
QuoteAre you 100% sure? You know why i ask this, or?
They don't break, they discharge. I mean, the armor piece won't simply disappear after running out.
Or if they do, it's some error in how a server is handling meta-data, which is fairly common if it is running bukkit...
Right now I'm playing on a bukkit server where jetpacks are glitched to constantly refill themselves when you switch chest pieces... lol

Nice Card to pull...
OT: Just use the linked Add-on...
QuoteWas that actually a secret to you people? LoL
No, but it does annoy those of us who actually have jobs and responsibilities...
QuoteI actually typed that when there were no other responses to the OP, you just posted quicker than I did.
Kids required my full attention for afew moments.
QuoteSame with me... Fenrix is fast.
Actually this only proves that he really has nothing better to do with his time...
You can think about it like this:
- series: increases capacity
- parallel: increases throughput
Highly realistic if you've studied up on any electric work... It's funny because I've always looked at setups like this, and never really thought into them with that much 'worry' about this issue, lol...

QuoteIt is most likely the cable resistance. Try tin cable.
Nuff said...
So, we've demonstrated that there's no real situation where coalfuel is a viable power source. How about this: What's better, geothermal power or forestry biopower gen + biofuel? (not biomass)
Oooooo... Now THAT's a question... let's see..
On one hand, you get alot of burst power, your storage counts for a greater yield of energy, AND there is an entire realm dedicated to the stuff...
But on the other, you can develop fully automated process to continually generate your energy via Minecraft's inherent use and design of vegetation...
*ponders*
Quote(And try pumping the cells into an ender chest, if the tekkit pack has those)
It does... it also has Charging Bench and Power Converters and a few other things as well...
Sadly, the server I'm supporting is relying on Tekkit for the time being, as I'm a big fan of the Bouses over at LagTV ...
Hopefully, I can convince them to switch to something less morally objectionable...
QuoteThis I like that will finally make making fuel a viable option.
It always was... Espectally with the Transformers Addon ... that thing is a god-send to the would-be power plant operator
Quoteyou can't just push 'oh, it's going to have to be coded' onto an idea at the expense of balance, even when it comes to progression through early to mid-game
That's not what I'm saying... I'm saying there are smarter ways to use biofuel then what you are saying... Even if it means being slightly (I'm using that word loosely here) explotive with some of the vanilla Minecraft mechanics, there are better ways to gain power.. For instance, did you know that mob spawners are your greatest source of food, or fuel, or sub-product used to obtain fuel? And they are all apart of Minecraft when you buy it...
I just think you need more time to think outside the block, good sir...
I have a MUCH better idea... one that's simple, and requires no coding changes...
Tree Farm + Electric Furnace connected to a small bit of renewable power + A set of Generators to accept the Charcoal with...
GEE
GEE!
Personally, I think breeding either needs to be slightly more forgiving, or Uranium world spawns need to increase...
