Is that still compatible? I've noticed some very necessary addons for me won't work with the latest version.
It's mostly cross compatible add-on's that I find that are 'broken' atm... (IC+BC ones specifically)... this is due to the 'version check' dependencies instituted within the code. Add-on's running solely off the IC API itself should still work regardless of this change. But don't quote me on that, as I haven' fiddled with my .jar yet due to laziness/depression...
Yet this would be my fair guess at the issues with some add-on's atm...

i wonder why ice got buffed and water buckets nerfed.
Because no one was touching the compressor/snow balls, lol...
Never really touched nuclear myself, but I also disagree with the disallowing of water/ice for coolant in reactors. Granted, it's created some overpowered designs during it's usage, but the expense/logistics of a CASUC reactor merits the EU output. It's actually quite a challenge to design/setup a reactor where not only you had to funnel in materials faster than a second, but also the ability to have constant resources (even if they are infinite) at a time to keep up with the heat consumption of said designs...

Power Crystal's power conversion mod died on load after updating IC2. I've posted a bug report with him, repeated here if anyone is interested.
Yeah... that's exactly what I was afraid of....
-
Ofc it was...
The changes, however, are somewhat less than 1337 themselves... Most likely going to wait on the add-on's before touching this version...

so... could I supply a macecreator with ultra voltage if it had like 10 overclock blocks around it?
Most likely not... 32 Eu/t consumption would most likely be the hard cap for such devices. But at that rate, you've over consumed any amount of EU that you have generated for this method to be practical...

Sounds more like an add-on for Buildcraft than for IC... but I like some of the suggestions.. lol
Already have fertilizers (bonemeal) and rubber recipes for Oil.. but they are very water/slime intensive on that end... (need to figure out more applications for my hydrocarbons, just so I have more of an excuse to pump those oil fields I keep finding, lol)

I'd rather prefer the buying/selling of fuel cells tbh...

Actually, there is an electric version of the wrench that you can use... so this little glitch is alot more effective than you might realize...

Additionally, the mod did not properly load until I changed some conflicting block IDs. (From 20* to 21*) Is there some sort of block ID conflict check happening?
If you altered them via ID Resolver, you do have to go into the actual config. for this add-on and give those numbers ID Resolve assigned to blocks/items.. Because (unfortunately) ID resolve won't alter text based config.s, and That's where the add-on pulls its slot ID dedications from...

As IndustrialCraft is a modern themed mod, it doesn't quite make sense to have "old" ruins of modern buildings ..
I think they want to go for the 'post apocalyptic' form of Minecraft play... similar to Fallout....
Which, I wouldn't mind, but then again I'm kinda against 'themed play' in regards to Minecraft...

Well... I at least though it was quite clever... And considering it uses teleport pipes in such a way to evade current EU loss, you never lose any amount of EU gained via this process...
Course it is impractical despite it's efficiency.. lol, but still a great job regardless...

Talk about the Secret Project is like talk about Fight Club..
You just don't do it...

OR!
He can keep it a secret, and not have other people interject their thoughts into the creation of the next version, so that he can.. you know... work in peace?
Probably better for no one but the IC Dev team to know due to the scale of changes next version will bring. Bad enough people are arguing over current content like they are now hand and fist...

WTB IC2 Engine for Buildcraft.
It exists, it's called Energy Couplers...

Chunk (un)loading is related to you walking far off, causing the chunks the Solar panels are on to unload.
Reducing the frequency of non-relevant EU packages has neither any relation to CPu performance nor (un)loading of chunks
What's even more said is that I posted a solution to this problem as well after you did Alba... Course, I could understand if a server doesn't have buildcraft installed why a buildcraft add-on solution would not help them, but nonetheless using a block item to keep a section of the server constantly loaded would prevent the 'on-off' lag experience that servers get when ppl move in and out of chunks that contain huge amounts of solars within them. Sure, that would mean that the CPU uptime on the server would slightly increase, but I doubt that it would be so dramatic that servers would be forced to shut down in result...

I like this idea... could be cool to use with canned food as well to convert them back to hunger nourishing items instead of direct healing items (and vice versa if you decide to re-canned said food again)...

EU-SENDING DOESNT FREAKKIN EAT ANY CPU. Dunno how often i've to say that until people keep it in their heads.
Loading/Unloading Chunks with solars on it can cause CPU-drain.
Placing/Removing components to an energy grid can eat CPU.
EU-sending does not.In that case, sounds like alot of server owners need to get 'Teleport Pipe's' Chunk loading block then, and have them placed at each site a solar panel setup sits... That saves both lag, server, and solar design altogether...
I'm not going to entertain the topic of 'solar balance' though... If you don't get why they exist in the first place, then it seems you have some environmental/energy management homework to do...

I did try putting it in the mods folder, like i said i tried following the instructions. I only put it in the JAR because i was getting desperate. I've tried everything i can think of to make it work but it won't, i really wanna get this working.
Post error log...
