Very nice base

I keep forgetting that when you put in the depleted cells has issues..
-
Xeno how about these may as well go back a little bit further

Why use an inferior design? MINE IS BEST!

Just check the Good Reactor list (stickied in this forum)
They're lying about beating my design though, they just shifted some HDs and flipped it around to get some seconds less CD (AMAZING!)LOL All I did was plop 4 cells in fill it with coolant cells then start placing plates till nothing melted down.. took a whole minute to design
and here is an eff 4 but will not get you the 120 a tick
-
Eff 3 120 a tick will not blow up.. about the best you can do without external cooling

if you want to put down a miner any where without worrying about power use 3 LV solar arrays and a batt box and throw a pump next to one of the solar cells with another crate next to that you can run OV scanner and diamond drill with no problem... probably could get by with 2 LV arrays but i like to be safe and they are cheap
-
no chainsaw?
this is what I use fast as heck
-
I was wondering about this recently. Would it be worth displaying the current status from the drill and the scanner underneath them, for instance, the current level, and the OD/OV values, as a kind of progress indicator.
Also, possibly worth some manner of error indicator. I know that I can have issues sometimes working out whether the drill has stopped because it's hit a liquid, or whether it's just taking a while on that level.
easiest way to see if it has stopped or is chugging along is to look at the chest or watch the power/battery meter on the miner and if you see it pulse it is still pulling materials out... but aside from that seeing the scan results would be cool

HV-Solar Arrays.
It's the only thing I use. (Well, and MV and LV ones...)
this I have watched all the work going into other ways and they are set and forget and with HV arrays making about 6M EU a minecraft day
-
On our new server I have told RP2 to NOT generate copper and tin so it's not so much of a problem now
I was wondering why I was not ending up with PILES of the stuff
-
If I'm not mistaken you should be at full armor even without the chest, but a normal lappack, or at least somewhere quite near.
you are at near full armor however you still take damage and the chest piece mitigates damage to none taken IE you stand in a pack of creepers with a lapp pack you will die with the chest piece in you laugh
-
TBH the whole they use to much power is really a moot point because by the time you need to be having a higher processing rate like that you should have more power than you know what to do with.
-
Yup stored heat leave it in the reactor with no EU being generated and it will restore
-
Ah sorry i never step up with transformers i just use bat boxes or MFU's ya a little more expensive but meh
-
also doesn't a red stone signal stop power transmission? looks like he has a red stone torch on each device...
-
Well if you put 16 over clockers 2 transformers and a few battery upgrades hook it up to HV you can process almost as fast as you can move the stacks around the only down side to base machines is the output slots on the macerator and extractor
-
Really looking forward to getting my HV arrays back I did not realize how much space 256 solar cells took up till i had to lay them out
But i am definitely willing to wait till it is right

I used 3 LV arrays and a batt box with a diamond drill and OV scanner and it never ran out of power
