A temporary downgrade to 4.2.1.3 may help.
So, if someone recently got stuck with TileTubeBufferRenderer.class crash as i did, just temporary replace it in the thaumcraft.jar with attached file. Then break all buffers in zone, and revert .class back. -
Diolas, i solved such issue by using linux VM runing single player NEI MC just to check recipies.

Now to the Problem of that: Your recipe for the Painter is a bad Idea because it would need a large amount of recipes to cover all the usefull Blocks.
I counted 7 items. All in topic. May be add obsidian there, total - eight. I dont consider that this is a lot. Who gives more?
How much covers does RP2 Wiring give us?

With this textured painters we will be able to paint CF cable wall block with some custom textures:
It would be usefull for hidden eu-wiring in non-CF environment.

Quotealso they dont block nukes explosions but dont get destroyed by those.
I tested it 5 minutes ago and it totaly blocked nuke again.

Balancing issues with ur idea. Currently trade-o-mat (18 wood and 9 iron) and safe (9 wood, 10 iron, 3 cooper, 6 rubber) are totaly blocks nuke. So ur recipe must become cheaper, or this items must be nerfed.
But i not like using one another hard block for it either. Prefer some forcefield, time for tier 4 vanilla force field engineering and nano-fussion things, and albos. But we got crops. So lame and so sad.

Definetly must be included to vanilla. Instead of realy usefull IC-related things devs are feeding us with crop . Time for Better Than Crops.

If scaffolds become to good, they could be a complete replacement for ladders..Just bring at least one usecase for scaffold will be all side better replacement than ladder.
Dont forget that scaffolds looks realy bad in compare to ladders for their ladder purpose.
They have a half block climbing collision box, which will ends in unexpected fallings.
Climbing it much slower than ladders.
So scaffolds = cheap and handy dirt tower replacement and special decoration unit. Ladders = ladders. I see no place for shift-stop so called "balancing" here.Oh, stop. Now i got it. Albalaka and u just trolling me.
