not every solar spammer does math

that being said just a shot in the dark here how about a button is add to these generators to switch between normal 6eu packet low lag transmission mode.

because Tin cables will fry if the packets are above 5EUs, also how would you recommend then switching between modes? with redstone signals, that's ALOT of restone wires, specially for something as early in the game as a couple of solar panels and/or wind turbines.

i think the easiest solution is to write a code that will allow minecarts to "Follow" one another like animals do when you hold wheat. imagine giving minecarts a personality, the lead cart would be Wheat and the second minecart would be like a Pig wearing a saddle, and when you push the Lead cart, the second cart follows it, then you can chain them by handling the "Pig cart" a piece of wheat for the one behind it to follow. ect. then you set them all on a golden minecart track, turn it on and give a light push to the "Wheat" cart and all the other's would chase after it an launch. i'm sure this would be fairly complicated to a modder who has never done something similar.

ahh ok nice, but then you said the power converter was overpowered :p

also i didn't know you could turn the particle effects off.

that is why i usually put the liquid source directly under the pump and put that as close to the machine/engine as possible.

Yeah, i'm the first viewer and i say "download Railcraft". They have fixed the collisionbug of furnacecarts, so you can use them to push your carts. Also Furnacecarts are now stronger then in vanilla. And before i forget, whats about Boostertracks?

well i used to used Booster Carts, before Notch fixed them and would use them to create a long train for 8 players to go together to a specified location using my "Launching System" but now even using Gold tracks it's hard to get them all to follow behind each other and have a constnt pace without crashing into each other from even the smallest amount of lag for trips that are like 1,500+ blocks. back when their were booster Carts right after Lapis Lazuli was added i had a 18 minute long train ride to a new area of the map where we were capable of finding lapis, this way we could send everyone at the same time and not worry about players coming at our "train" head on and causing us all to walk back.

the only reason i might download railcraft is if they have a cart that can go infront and pick up or plow through all those annoying items in the tracks like cobble and arrows that skeletons conviniently shoot in the tracks to stop you.

i miss the old Booster Carts, i even engineered what i called a "PEZ Booster" that could launch an infinate amount of carts in quick secession. it could launch 2-3 a second at full speed, that is how i launched the players out of the Train Station in order.

"illuminators", i think you mean Luminators or is Alblaka really working on Illuminati?

Oh and i said that with the Luminators three times including that above, and everytime it was a newbie, that asked something like that here. X(

We should put these ideas to the Compendium marked as denied. :cursing:

lol yeah, illuminators, Luminators, same thing :p a Luminator just Illiminates the area, also i was agreeing with you about the second thing with newbies, i was just clarifying it AGAIN, incase someone missed it, lol, i wasn't refering to you as being the newbie :)

and i'm pretty sure they are in there somewhere in regards to being re-worked.

before anyone says it... no to downloading RailCraft.

all i'd like if a chain that i can use to make 1 minecart "follow" the other for industrial and storage uses. these could be used to specify the led train cart and the secondary train cart, and then could be chained in a line of like 12 carts to make either a cargo train for transporting supplies or players like a Subway System.

maybe have the recipe 3 Refined Iron in a vertical line.

    1. No. i'm no longer using it because it is to OP, if you mean Powercrystals Mod. I'm using BCIC²-Crossover to get fuelbased Generators and electric Engines.

    2. Redstoneengines are less laggy (on the server), but their Particleeffects causing clientside Lag if the Particleoption is not set to low. Solarpanel + Energylink is much more lagging then that.

so redstones are laggier if you near them and cause client strain but solars cause more server stain over all, roger. well darn, also we should try and get someone to make a Balanced IC2/BC Power Convertion Mod / Block, you could use a Steam Engine and a plain Generator as a starting point and ratio it out from there. same with Geothermal Generator and a Combustion engine using lava.

the depleted uranium is not radioactive...?
    thats why we use lead.

who ever said Depleted Uranium isn;t radioactive?

"Depleted uranium is also used as a shielding material in some containers used to store and transport radioactive materials. While the metal itself is radioactive, its high density makes it more effective than lead in halting radiation from strong sources such as Radium."

Glowstoneblocks are possible but i dont tell you how, lol.

OK, i dont even know the recipe, because i'm using the goddamn awesome Craftingtable II.

wait, now that you mention it i think i might have seen glowstone blocks, i'm just alittle more awake now to actualy recall, i'll check my document when i get off work today.

if people didn't have mass fabs wouldn't they just spam recyclers? its just like the advanced machine crisis take away the luxury and people just spam the low end to make up for it.

yeah but with recyclers you still have to manuall feed items or materials into it to get the craps to make the crap boxes to TRY and get some decent items you'd want. a mass fab can be set up with solars and burn away your server's "resources" in order to be like "ok UUM, let's see i need... Redstone dust! and poof!" there you go, very little about of work apart from collecting 240,000 blocks and feeding them into recyclers for the same amount of redstone dust.

quick question for you, well 2 actually, 1 have you used the IC2/BC power converter, and 2 is it less strain on a server to use Redstone Engines or Solar Panels? lol

Yep, Scrapboxing is not much efficient and could be a bit better, maybe two times more Uranium as Diamonds from Scrapboxing to keep it balanced, even if i don't really need more Uranium than i have now. And less Wooden Tools since there are not only Hoes.

I've installed Better Veins for my new modded 1.1. Today i've started playing it the first time and the FIRST resourcedeposit i found was URANIUM, AGAIN. I'm a living Uraniumdetector. No matter where my Base is, theres ever a very large amount of valuable resources right there and when i'm going far away from my Base i find less than nothing. :D

yeah but your massive uranium deposits might be concidered just a little bit cheating :) lol honostly though i think those depostis are just alittle to big cause i could just load up, dig 15 blocks down and drill a tunnel until i slam into a massive deposit of something and bee good for like a month :p

back to the OP: agreed, twice of common as the current diamonds sounds about right i guess, that about 38 uranium ore every 10,000 scrap boxes, which is roughly 120,000 recycled goods, i think that's about the ratio of uranium in the ground huh? about 1 in every 263 blocks + the cost of energy for all that recycling?

Never tired of wondering how easily any simple and clear idea can be distorted and overcomplicated.

lol, that's the point of forumns :) to help developers by tossing it to the masses of their fans to pick, pull, agrue and finally create a innovative, balances, recreational use of an invention. this is the process of general Democracy for approval of an idea. check and balances with a touch of Research and Development :D

here, one sec and i'll send you something that helped me ALOT with nuclear reactors and setting them up properly for non-CASUC reactors.

Edit: and here you are! :D

    http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…=1j10101001501521s1r11r10

click that and then there is a spot that says, something like "This applet can be run as a stand alone by downloading it "Here" you can click that and download this Nuclear Reactor Tester and it'll tell you everything you'll ever need to know about your reactor and the way you set them up. then there will be almost no need to set up a way to turn it off.

P.S. the Thermometer block controller Alblaka is making will be for SMP i believe.

A new payload component that you have to have to set angle and velocity correctly to maintain orbit as long as possible, eventually the satellite can drift out of or into orbit, if it re-enters orbit then there can be a chance of it burning up or crashing back to the surface- possibly leaving a crater.

Additionally 'decaying orbits' would introduce a 'maintenance factor' requiring launching replacement satellites. Later additions could allow 'advanced flight controls' for increased orbit time and 'advanced panels' for more power output.

i think it'd be better just to place the Collection Dish Center in the ground and have it throw the satalite at the very top of the world where it would be more exposes to sunlight (realistically) and maybe only have 1-2 minutes of darkness, and then you build your collection dish as large as you want or as needed and then keep "placing" satalite dishes "on" the Collection dish Center which would simply throw them directly above it at the top of the world, these would barely be able to be seen from the ground,if at all, now that the max height of the world is 256. this way you could also collect them if needed by climbing to the top of the world (alittle less realistic but steve is possibly the son of chuck norris so he can breath in near outer space like that).
