    I'd like to imagine that Alblaka is capable of coming up with his own ideas. This is just a big inspirational post.


    When I first played IC, a full year ago, I thought that the electricity flow made this game twice as fun as vanilla minecraft. So, in accordance with that logic, adding three other flows to electricity will make this game sixteen times as fun as vanilla minecraft. As long as there is sufficient capital to make the other flows as fun as electricity that is. This suggestion, at it's heart, suggests the addition of three of those flows, and the inclusion of the capital that will make them fun.


    Another important reason for this suggestion is the added ability of players to construct megaprojects that will reward the players in some way. (megacell pack, grav pack, black mesa complete with laser pipes, etc...)


    I posted all of this on the suggestion forum for a reason. Feel free to use it as inspiration for whatever.

    Difficulty Level 2:
    Inertial Confinement Fusion Reactor
    Description
    Generate massive quantities of clean power using nothing but electrolyzed water cells and massive quantities of laser light with extreme focus. The massive quantities of power generated are partially offset by the massive power demand of the lasers. The obvious difficulty of building this machine is that laser power can't be stored and must be generated on the spot.
    Building Components:
    4x High-power laser emitters
    1+ Any laser cable (need many to focus light)
    1x Hohlraum (target, to be struck by 4 high power, highly focused beams. Outputs electricity out of dotted face. Electrolyzed water cells must be replaced, but a stack can be fed in.)
    Reactions:
    Laser+electrolyzed water cell -> Electricity (requires A LOT of laser power to initiate, and laser power can't be stored)



    Small hadron collider
    Description
    The goal of this experiment is to establish the simultaneous production of collider attenuation reports, to facilitate the expansion of the collider, or to produce antimatter. (think 10*2 accelerator tubes)
    Building Components:
    1+ Hadron Emitter
    1+ Hadron Accelerator Tube
    1 Hadron Collision Target
    OR

Trampolines spawn naturally in small clusters on the surface in this dimensions. Maybe calls for new creatures to occupy it. Unlocks “resonance cascade” achievement, if you will. Same teleportation effects as the nether (every step taken there is many steps in the default world) Border world-default world teleporters should get their own model.

    Sorry, but I'm going to deviate from your suggestions template now in order to facilitate readability.


    It's good to see that you haven't given up on ICraft yet Alblaka! However, it's fairly obvious that you're lacking inspiration when it comes to inventing LARGER and more INDUSTRIAL, INDUSTRIAL contraptions. I give your newfound green streak as evidence of you losing sight of the BIGGER and more INDUSTRIAL picture. Real men of industry don't have time or regard for disgusting green stuff that grows out of the ground. Real men conquer nature, and build infernal, manly contraptions that seek only to annihilate it.


    At first glance, it appears that this suggestion has precious little to do with industry; but under continued scrutiny, you'll notice that this suggestion is all about raw science. If you double your efforts, you may notice that some of this raw science then filters down through burning pipes made of solid engineering to become the more refined, applied science. And if you really focus all of your inner chakra on examining this fleeting moment in a vastness of BBB suggestions, you'll see that the refined applied science gives rise to newer, bigger, and far more rewarding industry.


    Even though these suggestions look thoroughly thought out, I don't intend you to take them at face value. Instead, take what you think will be fun for the game and roll with it. But I really do want my suitcases full of money for bribes to shadowy government officials dammit. It's a natural, and VERY important part of industry.

    Prerequisite technical stuff:
    This suggestion rests on your ability to implement three new "flows" that are fairly similar to electricity, yet different in critical ways: (listed in order of increasing fun)
    Laser - Travels through active gain "cables" much like electricity does, but it has negligible power drain over unit distance. Instead, it picks up a second characteristic, called focus, as it travels down the pipes.
    Hadron - Hadrons (atomic nuclei) travel down accelerator cables and gain units of power as they move. Accelerator cables actively drain small quantities of electricity.
    Boson – Bosons (carriers of force) travel down boson containment tubes between nodes and nothing interesting happens. Oh my yes, nothing of interest happens what so ever. Up to four boson streams interact at a node (at least one for electricity, one for output) and form a product stream that's an additive of their total powers, and multiplied by the power of the supplied to the node electricity, with 2000Eu/t giving a 1x multiplier, 1000Eu/t giving .5x multiplier, 4000 Eu/t giving 2x multiplier, etc... Boson containment tubes actively drain small quantities of electricity, but unlike hadron accelerator cables, they should get slots for RE or some such batteries to make things easier.

    - Lava bucket/cell into extractor has high probability of yielding stone or iron dust. Medium probability of giving one of the existing metal dusts, low probability of giving niobium.
    - Soil into extractor has high probability of yielding nothing. Very low probability of giving coal. Near zero probability of giving iridium ore. (non terrestrial!)

    Nerf it to have higher failure rate or something. Remove matter generator. It has to be produced in the course of a level 4 experiment.
    Quantum armor change:
    Rename to HazEV suit.
    Chest plate requires two lap packs instead of the lapotron crystal, and gains ability to store 600,000 EU.
    Teleporter change:
    Requires a teleporter core instead of a diamond, produced in a boson experiment.

    Teleporter core – used in the construction of a teleporter.
    Megasphere – Stores a retarded amount of electricity. 4 of these can be combined to create an MSphere Pack, which can be worn on the chest for endless amounts of electricity-fueled fun.
    MSphere Pack – Ultimate personal energy storation device.

    Grav stone – 4 of these can be combined to create a grav pack.
    Grav pack – Can be worn on the chest to allow flight. They can't be refueled, but one of these is worth MANY MINUTES of flight instead of the 80/90 seconds a jetpack gives.


    Anomalous samples to be used in the boson collider:
    High-purity yellow crystal – Produces a teleporter core when bosonated, necessary to build a teleporter. Has 25% chance of creating a resonance cascade, spawning a crapload of very angry bad guys in the vicinity. Maybe it can even teleport players in the vicinity to another plane? (the end?)
    E-115 – Produces an energy core, used in the construction of megaspheres. Has 25% chance of detonating violently.
    Pain element – Produces a grav stone. 50% chance of disappearing and doing nothing.

The laser is shot at the carbon plate target (in a very delicate manner useful to your very specific future constructions) and a report paper is printed.
