    Melons come from melon plants, because melons come from melon plants. I can take floating blocks, the ability to carry uranium like it's pocket change, and crops producing redstone, but apple plants are the last straw. At least have some sort of fabricated logic behind it..

    my thing is we already have a direct food crop(the melons) so there is no point to adding another crop that exists for no purpose other than food. now if alblaka adds apple cider to brewing or melon batteries I would change my opinion because it adds something that makes the two different

I'm guessing you built a wind mill and tested the line with an EU reader, got back an odd result, and instead of looking it up on the wiki you jumped to conclusions again. so here is how windmills work; the windmills instantaneous eu/t (what the eu meter shows you) fluctuates between 0-6eu/t at any given moment with it leaning more towards the higher or lower end of the scale depending on the effective height of the windmill. what you are proposing is that the windmill will break if the instantaneous eu/t goes above 1.5eu/t if that happens the long term eu/t of a safe windmill will drop to an avaerage of less than .25 eu/t under the must IDEAL conditions now does this sound like a good thing to you?

    I really really REALLY doubt you did your math right a safe wind mill by the most generouse estimates generates an average of like 1.66 and thats if you build a stupid tall ugly space elevator like tower. that sort of power is balanced by 2 things first the previously mentioned height at which these must be set up and second the fact that they BREAK these things are basically fueled by IRON the most valuable item in ic2

    yes there should be a effect for crossing the streams like the users blowing up or shutting off a portal

    1) Hey,that's not that WE can change,but we're talking about things,we can affect.Maybe the feature would be added someday.Notch is obviosly,strange person,to add things like new planks,correcting some bugs and doing such stuff for months,while it is obvious,that minecraft itself isn't worth alot of play-time w/o mods.Vanilla minecraft is vanilla and mods are to bring new gameplay and complexity.

    1) yes you can change that ask the forge devs for more hooks. until then what you want to do is to stick an accurate scale model of an ak47 in the hand of a lego minifig it looks stupid

    Gold cables loss should be lower than copper as it is better conductive than copper... but thats devs decision.

    actually copper and silver are better conductors golds big RL advantage is the connectors don't oxidize

    I didn't specify the value,by which cells get used up faster.To lose this advantage in 2 cells reactor,cells must deplete 2 times faster.Thats too much,obviosly.What makes you think,that cells cant deplete,like,10% faster per 1 cell attached?They sure can and you won't lose that benefit.

    Yeah,in some way they are..like for ~10-20 block transfer,but as I used to play,it's really much faster to put a storage,fill some energy crystals and transfer them through BC pipes,or old fashioned way :D which is even faster.Isn't it?

    battery passing is kinda an exploit but not every one has BC installed hence the existence of gold cables, there are more recipes coming, and you can also use them to make glowstone dust, and an effective electric fence

    There is something that disturbes me - when you place several uranium cells next to each other,the reaction goes faster and with more heat,right? so,Uranium cells should,obviosly,be getting used up faster.

    the point of pairing uranium cells is to get more eu out of each cell if the cells get used up faster then they lose this benefit and there is no point in building large reactors which some people do for fun. now ask you self "do i want to piss off these guys who know how to make nukes by taking away their favorite toy?"

    Yeah,there surely IS something what is sure - everything needs maintaince.Solar panel (panel itself) gets dirty over time.Depending on their working mechanics,the need oil for cylinder,highest quality water,inside wire replacements..man,tons of everything.



    My idea is having different recepies for solar panels,like long unforgotten 2 copper cables and generator for basic/cheap/whatever you call it/ solar,then our modern recepie,and some *higher quality* solar. Maybe,each of them could produce slightly different eu/t.
    But the point is,having durability for machines,like for tools or having a *sure* working time and after that,possibility of breaking.It seems more-or-less realistic.
    Another idea is to add scheme of *insides* of a machine,where working parts of machine can be checked.So,if some thing break,you replace it and everything is ok.That seems even more realistic.

    is it to much to ask to go for a week with out some one having to throw in their repetitive 2 cents on this subject? we've been over this here are the magical shutdown arguments AGAIN

    2. if realism is applied to green energy then it has to be applied to all energy therefore re-leveling the playing field and keeping solar "on top" as some would put it

    4. if your proposing a nerf do to an experience you had in a smp environment take it up with your sever admin
    5. if your proposing a nerf do to an experience you had in a ssp environment then shut the hell up you can't tell me how to play

    all of you who obviously don't test things before posting "fixes" get this through your thick skulls the reason cans cost so much is because YOU CAN REUSE THE CANS! and another thing ITS TIN! the world is lousy with it and if you need more just have ic2/rp2/and forestry generate ores at the same time you'll have more tin then you know what to do with you won't even bother macerating it anymore. so stop wasting our time

    Paralizator? Not real enough for me. Especially rubber shielding for EM wave. :D
    Heater? Most real of those, but water vaporization is too much. Also too deadly and not needed.
    Freezer? Cannot be real. Is it only to cool reactor?

    second floating dirt block, walking skeletons, lava in my pants, mininglaser, teleporters, massfab, plants that drop gold, nether wart(now a crop which means ic2 recognizes the nethers existence), jetpacks, ELECTRIC jetpacks, home made nuclear reactors, weaponized tesla coils, nano armor, quantum armor, do i really need to go on?
