first vanilla food hasn't directly restored health since the intro of the hunger bar while food cans restore 1 hunger and 1 heart per can
second cans are reusable cells are not
third like you previous suggestions please try to gain a better understanding of how the mod works before posting more suggestions that try to "fix" what is already in the mod

stupid suggestion, implement item just for single useless operation.
if you not able to predict ghast movement - dont play minecraft.

much more better to suggest tractor beam, that will kill target and transfer loot directly into your inventory, much more usefull.

excuse me? rude much? clearly you have no sense of humor the norm is no single use machines cause they take up block i'ds but single use items are fair game cause we can have as many of those as we want. you have a point with the tractor beam thing the ghastbuster should attract the mob drops to you cause usually the ghast is over a lava lake and maybe this thing can be used on undead to but remember i walking a thin line between tool and weapon here

first your basically spamming at this point
second you are the only one who wants to get ore out of cobble in a way that's easier than using a cobble gen or dust crop
third there is a rule that all suggestion titles must start with [suggestion] all of you threads are breaking this rule
forth if you don't come to your senses and accept input from the community I'm going to hijack you lava->metal idea

    Solar is not OP.

This statement is coming from a guy who filled up the entire Personal Safe with UU-Matter with just three IC2 Nuclear Reactors (no BC / RP / etc.) within one week. I don't think Solar Panels can achieve that.

what part of "this childish debate needs to stop" DIDN'T YOU UNDERSTAND!?! the OP and all nerfers/buffers are probably aware that "take it up with your server admin" is the new social norm so you comments are not helping and they will only perpetuate this pointless debate to the point of flamewar

I'd rather have a rail gun that fires projectiles in the speed of light [Laser also should because it is light (with lots of energy) , but for some reason it doesnt]
So mobs would be insta-hit instead of calculating projectile speed and mob movement.

the ghostbusters movies aren't big in brazil are they? I was expecting more of a "lol +1" or a "still a weapon wait for industrium conflict -1" but i wasn't expecting a "i want a real gun" response

ok before you all do the knee jerk "no weapons" reaction please note that most weapons are for pvp this is for pve it can only hurt ghasts some hostile mobs so its more a tool than a weapon

    Name: GhastBuster

Description: a special built gun for conquering the nether and containing ghasts the ghast buster fires a long range non-block-breaking beam that only hurts ghasts 10 seconds of exposure will kill a ghast(is that to long?). also when you equip the ghast buster and a batpak/lappak at the same time for the first time you get the achievement "who ya gonna call?"

EDIT: do to popular demand the ghastbuster also harms undead (zombies, skeletons, pigmen), also when you cross the beams in smp you get a "don't cross the streams achievement" and you may spontaneously explode

    Recipe:

all right second try hopefully the forum won't log me out in the middle of writing this
DISCLAIMER: this idea hinges on whether a block id can change what model it uses based on the inventory of the block if this is impossible then just let this thread sink beneath the waves and die

so the idea is a series of EU powered food convenience items that are centered around a new 1/8 of a block tall item called the "induction counter top" which which will serve as a place to mount all these appliances and connect them to the Enet
    recipe:

    :Refined Iron::Refined Iron::Refined Iron:
:Cable::Cable::Cable: brushed steel counter top just like an industrial looking restaurant kitchen

so the appliances are all normal items (to save on block id's) they are all cheap-ish and only do a few things but they do those things very well. to setup just right click an induction counter top with the appliance it will then be place in the counters inventory and a model of the appliance will appear on the counter to remove just whack the appliance with a wrench(cause every thing in industrial kitchens must be bolted down of course lift-able stuff is for wimpy consumers) here are some appliances i have though up so far
    1. cooker:
    :Depleted Cell:
    :Advanced Furnace:
    :Electronic Circuit:
randomly appears as either a microwave, a deep fryer, a stove top range, or an oven. works basically like an electro furnace but it can only smelt food but it can do so for faster and cheaper than an electro furnace
    2. coffee machine:
    :Refined Iron:
    :Empty Cell:
    :Electronic Circuit:
to use just right click with coffee beans, milk and sugar to fill it up and right click with a empty mug to get hot coffee. NO MORE JUGGLING GUI'S TO MAKE YOUR MORNING COFFEE! it also fills more mugs per bean than the diy method.
    3. bread machine:
    recipe unsure
allows a 1 wheat to 1 bread ratio at the cost of eu
    4. electric can opener
    :Refined Iron:
    :Tin Can:
    :Electronic Circuit:
consumes food cans and will (with a 1 in some thing chance)spit out a random food item with the odds of getting better foods increasing with each failure(lots of output slots)
    5. minifridge

    :Tin Block:
    :Electronic Circuit:
side ways opening chest, emits light when open, massive storage space, only stores food
    6. food processor
    :Refined Iron:
    :Bronze Sword:
    :Electronic Circuit:
lets you turn dyes (besides lapiz) into food cans also lets you make mushroom stew with 1 mushroom
    7. cake
a counter wouldn't make sense if you couldn't serve food on it

Sunflower requires a fertilization with coal dust to achieve full maturation. [IC solar panels needs that doesnt?]
Connecting cable below it makes it produce 0,25 EU/t during day.

How about a wind crop, a mutation of sunflower.
Special Requirements : needs to be very high [above 198 to achieve full maturation]

and then a super mutant crop that speards out and up roots trees to burn for fuel

For all we know... In another dimension dahhhh.

Besides there is no rock in the nether (Say no to cobblestone generators because fuck them... Oh wait those don't even work in the nether anymore, ice was nerfed in there lul)

the achievement says "must go deeper" and there are sever plugins and mods that let go to the nether by going below layer 0. there is no "rock" in the earths mantel either just lava(or is the right word magma?). plus this will pose a fun logistic problem for people who rely on geogens (do i want power? or precious metals?)

so everyone hates the lavamaker so you combine it with this idea and that makes it better? no no no you have it backwards my friend you need to kill the lava maker concept entirely and go forward with with this molten metal extractor all by its self this is where the money is cause it will do 3 things
    1. make living in the nether more fun cause you don't need to run back to the over-world for supplies
    2. add a new use for eu
    3. add a way for new metals to be added to the game without turning caves rainbow colored with ores (remember most of earths awesome dense exotic metals sunk into the mantel. now guess where the nether is at?)

    from the molten electrolyzer thread

So you are suggesting: Lava + Machine + Time = low amount of Minerals + (maybe) Energy

To make it usefull enough, you have to get more Ore than you would get with a Recycler (or Massfabricator), but you have also to make it less efficient, because of Cobblegenerators. This way its really, hard to balance between that very small space, and everyone would just skip it, IF there would be no Lava in the Nether, so if we dont make the Lavamaker, but the Mineralfilter, which you call "Molten Electrolyzer", for filtering Minerals out of Netherlava (Also normal Lava, but there is not so much of it), then we could much easier Survive in the Nether, so finally:

+1 for "Molten Electrolyzer" if you use another Name for it
-1 for "Lavamaker", which you have suggested right before

metal from lava sounds good but lava from stone is ripe for exploitation you can't have both

if you ask me the name is not important i'm sure the devs could cook up an appropriately HAYO! name. i think when filtering deeper metals should be more common like gold, tin, and redstone(its some science thing the reason we don't have massive amounts of platinum and iridium IRL is cause they all sunk into the mantle because they were so dense)
