    Well you learn something every day, I had no idea you could make torches from rubber!


    Makes sense, I was initially thinking making 4 torches might make the rubber recipe useless, but since you also lose the chance of bonus resin drops it pretty much balances itself out. I like it.

    actually you can make the torch's from resin not rubber so no baking required. this is just a way to bypass the tree tap at the cost of no bonus resin

    So its basically three Forwarddrives at once or?

    not at once but one after the other so you spend 1/4 of your time holding still instead of 1/2, and 3/4 of your time moving. it would win in a race if you put this up against a regular inchworm drive

    here a few more for the mcm equipped machine recipies
    6. quick microwave snack: [electro-furnace w/mcm]+[1 piece of meat (not a stack)]=[bacon in 3 seconds flat] or just faster than normal with no noticeable extra energy drain
    7. marshmallows!: [macerator w/mcm]+[sugar]=[marshmallow(1 drumstick)] also throw the marshmallow in the furnace for a toasted marshmallow(2 drumsticks)
    8. cotton candy: [macerator w/mcm]+[sugar]=[cotton candy(1 drumstick)] this is if marshmallows are to much of a stretch
    9. fill pastries and or donuts: [canning machine w/mcm]+[any not-bread food (top slot)]+[bread (bottom slot)]= depending on what you put in you could get things like a [fruit filled danish],[chocolate cream filled donut],[Asian pork bun]

    this suggestion is about boats not minecarts I don't want to bog it down with to many details. the way you descend to an empty beach is you float next to it and place a docking block they should stack and be cheap the teleporting would be no worse than what can already do with boats and minecarts. if you fail to remember to bring docking blocks then maybe you shouldn't go sailing on a lake of lava

    you mean the one that's like a reactor with .8eff and continuously spawns hostile slimes(NGMB)? I'm assuming so cause you used the word farm. so backing up your answer with some math what do you think the eff and eu/t should be like? also did you have anything in mind for the recipe? i think at least one reactor chamber is a must since we are handling uranium here

    Name: canned vines, tangle root


    Description: this suggestion adds 2 things First a weed like crop called tangle root that rapidly grows and can be harvested for either vines. and second is a spray can that will place a vine where you aim it and every on block directly below it to the base of the wall (I don't want to try to explain it in detail please try not to imagine it in a way that allows you to easily make a vine ladder from the world height to bed rock you know that is not what i mean) so now ON TO THE DETAILS!


    tangle root growth requirements should be implemented in such a way as to make it so that they can grow unassisted in a swamp biome or jungle biome (where you normally find vines) and require a clay block beneath the dirt block to reach its final stage (and just to mess with people the first stage looks like the weeds first stage) it is discovered through crossbreeding. with melons and pumpkins being good candidates for parents(because they have vines)


    canned vines is made by combining
    [CF pellet]+[tangle root seed bag(any GGR)]+[empty cell]
    with this the seeds are embedded in the cf pellet and the ingredients of the unhardened cf will energize the seeds which will try to grow aggressively at the earliest opportunity then just aim and fire a vine will instantly be placed on the block you pointed and a few seconds later you will see it start rapidly growing straight down till a block blocks its path.

    yeeeaaaaaahhh no. I'm protesting this it will just lead to suggestions being flamed or denied for containing the slightest bit of humor. my (as ra1337 puts it) "bat shit crazy" ideas will go in the suggestion sub-forum because no matter how bad they may seem to some they are still suggestions for ic2, and iv'e proposed ideas before that started as jokes and for all i know made it to the mythical possibly unwritten todo list.(if you wish to counter this argument please refer to the nuclear jetpack suggestion)

    2. my experience with jumping on top of minecarts and boats is that they have this tendency of shooting out from under you when you least expect it. so how about this a docking block you place it on the shore and when you are close enough and click on it from inside the boat it teleports you out of the boat and on top of the dock block(teleport as in skipping a cut scene not teleport as in startrek) the block will also magnetically attract nearby empty lava boats to it so they never drift out of reach


    3. considering lava is denser than water the N.E.V. should definitely sink and be rendered non functional when placed in water


    4. if its possible code wise to display noticeably different densities of particle effects

    I'd love to see rotation and zeppelins running on the frame engine, now we're talking about self-moving aircrafts. Would also love to see tube embedding, since inchworm tunnel boring machines are so slow.

    looking at some videos the frames move very smoothly if spammed with redstone pulses

    Change place/retrieve mech:
    Placing Vehicle leave Retriever in inventory. Using Retriever on Vehicle pick it up to inventory slot, used by Retriever.
    This way you will always have slot available and Vehicle can be unbreakable.

    thought about it like that but then there would be all this stuff about which boat goes with which retriever? and is that possible code wise? if the devs want it that way its not like i can stop them but i think the way in the OP is the simplest way to pull it off


    To get out of Vehicle use Jump to jump on top of it. Vehicle still stay and keep your weight, waiting for you to jump to beach and retrieve it.

    exiting is something i didn't consider to simplest way is just to say it gives temporary fireproofness for like 10 seconds but how do you explain that? your idea is good to but even with it accidents will be common. I GOT IT! have the Integrated Heat Dispensers turn the lava into a 3x3 cobble platform when you exit that way you can jump safely.


    Should it spend energy to high speed? No Iridium in recipe?

    first its a boat that is propelling you through molten ROCK I don't think high speed is an option and second its a boat if it was a lava submarine then we can slap some iridium on there


    Shouldn't the recipe use refined iron instead?

    it does have refined iron almost every piece has an alloy component and refined iron is in alloy


    CiderCraft while the boat does need to be charged its still just a boat so i was planning for it to be able to hold a charge for a few day of constant use there is no way to add a hud and people can't have the gui open to monitor coolant at the same time as driving. try to think more user friendly
