suggested before and rejected by alblaka (i think it was some thing about not wanting to mess with mobs for lag reasons)

tl;dr i would rather people hijack remotely similar threads rather than flood the front page with threads about slight variations
-
1. alblaka said the qsuit damage is bugged (something about syncing)
2. stop picking on the qsuit if you need a resource sink refer to the following list1. build a teleporter network
2. build super overclocked insta-smelt machines(that's 1 smelt per tick)
3. AGRICULTURE! SERIOUSLY THAT IS WHAT ITS THERE FOR! ITS A POST END GAME TIME SINK!
4. mega-constructions(see dwarf fortress)
5. get out of your chest packed cobble hut and beautify your world
6. landscape epic LOTR mountains
7. build 256 high towers of architectural epicness
8. build sky castles that can live completely disconnected from the ground
9. expand villages and colonize new lands with villagers
10. connect all of those villages(and cities and towns) with roads and railways
11. install another mod and sink resources into it
12. say good game delete your world and start over -
its not so much DON'T MENTION TECHNIC as it DON'T MENTION MODPACKS and its not that mod packs are evil its just that we don't need or want to know that your using them

This is so wrong in so many levels...
he believes it is a problem and i'm trying to be a bit more helpful than just telling him to as you would say "grow a pair"
1)Unfortunatly not all the players leT others use thOSE machines... but ty
what do you want a minecraft welfare program? have then build their own mass fabs
2)I will... if i manage how to use them... sincerly i play more tecnic that industrial , so i have many ways to do the same thing, I'll play more in server, and help the wiki. (or i'll try to discovery them directly on the tecnic)
we don't need to know whether you use technic or not so its best not to mention it (its a flame happy subject around here)
can you say me the mod's name? I would be really happy... ^w^
and... ty really muchthe mods name is "Google minecraft dimension mods", "ask killerbeez", or "ask allbad"
i would like to see you play in a server with 10 persons constantly playing (obviously we never connect all in the same time) plus random people (if you are asking... yeah... informatichs adress at school XD) , then you can tell me if there's a resource problem or not.
Oh yeah... count that sometimes newbies joins, and burns coal or resources in stupid ways (not using the macerator, for example).
insults are just useless if you didn't tryed =)hehehe i hope you just relized you mouthed off to what could be considered a member of THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY SERVER ADMINS. kane hart runs one of the larger industrial craft servers and maybe a few others(i don't know i'm not a smp guy)

the word rust would imply a wearing effect that would occur regardless of the activity of the item. i can't think of any material that only oxidizes when in use so i thought you were proposing a rust mechanic be added in addition to wear
-
I've the sudden urge to sit back and watch people lighting this thread on fire...
But my better half won:Check the wiki for "Luminators". Sort of exactly what you suggested... with the slight difference it was implemented a few months ago.
awwwbut setting things on fire is fun
-
no rusting an iron tool siting in a chest doesn't rust and neither should an idle machine.

as long as there is infinite water you will never be able to run a watermill off of BC liquid pipes.
if you need more power go geothermal or nuclear its what they are there for.
-
also recyclers and agriculture help minimize the finite resources problem
-
with nuclear reactor like fun it maybe possible to contain the "automated processing" within the machine chassis its self. depending on how its implemented (adjacent chassis expanding the internal space will be a must) this means that it convenient to swap out those spare parts when you walk over to drop in a stack of iron dust be to smelted, refined, and crafted into machine blocks all in one machine.
-
you don't log in for a few days and look what happens. well I for one am willing to drop perfect machines in favor of more nuclear reactor like fun
-
1) alternately to what fenixR said some servers(most famously Industrial Rage, and Outland craft) use mods that add extra over-world like dimensions, designate those dimensions as mining worlds, and wipe/reset them every couple of weeks
2) have an issue with the wiki? nothing is stopping you from contributing like they say if you want something done right do it your self
3) is a result of coals finiteness that can be solved with anything that solves 1) -
if wear is added machine will no longer stack different ideas have been rejected for doing the same thing
-
snow might be less effective than ice and water (air pockets= insulation)
and eternal cooling works by convection(flowing water or air) ice on the other hand is solid and doesn't flow
-
usually people make a green gen farm big enough to power their basic workshop in case they run out of fuel and then use nuclear to handle the heavy lifting like massfabs, teleporters, terraformers, and super overclocked machines. at you altitude a wind farm would be ideal to supplement you nuclear power. spawnx has some tutorials on how to set up a good wind farm
-
when a nerf is defeated the next logical approach is to ask for a config option its a given. the devs know there is a demand for it most likely so there is no need to bring it up again
but the power of the suit shouldn't be an issue in nonpvp because your actions won't directly impair others any more than a normal user. as for a pvp environment a fix is in the works for a official warfare addon to make qsuits easier to kill
