Wouldn't that possibly be a benefit because there would be a important reasons to use this version instead of tekkit.
Well, I see it as one, but I believe that could also be seen as a reason not to include it in the pack
Have you seen what has happened with Tekkit recently, it now has it's own website, Server leader board, is officially recognized by Minecraft staff and much more. I scour for add-ons or additional mods, and alert Kakermix to contact them for a possible inclusion in Tekkit. This mod is special though, it should be included in official ic2!
One small problem, this mod updates practically daily, Tekkit is incapable of keeping up with the major changes, and as such assuming Greg keeps up his current rate of progression, the users of the pack will be left with a version from way in the past
Agreed I'm having a blast with it.
Didn't you post that already?
Ladies, please, if you want to talk about Tekkit, we have threads for that
This should probably go in the suggestions forum, also it has already been suggested and discussed here
******* = Censored to due to extreme vomiting upon site of word
I don't know what you mean, Tekki- BLARGHGHRTH *cough* well, that was unexpected.
1. Make some use for Netherwart and Blaze powder in the Centrifuge
Latest update, they already have a Centrifuge use
I can confirm what Greg is saying, it was approved yesterday
Extractor - or in the language pack that you are using Dejuicer-Device of Doom – D123
![]()
Where
= treetap,
= machine block,
= circuit, and
= nothing, is this the recipe you are using?
EDIT: Perhaps you shouldn't use a language pack, and stick to the wiki, until you know what you are doing.
How is this possible without Forge? Unless Forge has already been updated to 1.4, and in that case I repeat my "wat is this I don't even
"
I think I found a minor graphical bug (for real this time) If coal is put into a generator, and then after that burns through, any item of lower value (I used wooden scaffolds) is inserted, the flames in the gui do not adjust properly to scaffold levels, as in instead of adjusting the flames where the top is 750 eus, the top eu amount is left at 4000 eus and 750 eus are added to the gui. I hope I explained that well enough
well i've been looking through folders banging my head against a wall and i found "ForgeModLoader-0" and inside it said it was atempting to load the modular forcefield mod, next line it said that no mods were found in the file, so anyone know whats going on
Take it up with Tekkit forums, 99% of people here don't use Tekkit, and therefore do not know how to deal with most Tekkit problems
Think I found something, using the chainsaw from IC2 and Twilight Forest, hitting and breaking one of the custom blocks from TF seems to cause a internal sever error and closes my game down. The item in question that causes the problem is root tendrils. It only happens when using the chainsaw, If I break it with anything else nothing happens, if I break it with the chainsaw the game gives the Internal server error.
Can you attach a crash log?
I imagine an armor stand that doubles as a charging station? Either case, I doubt this will replace current add-on's if that's what it is...
No, but that's 1.4 stuff with IC2
Wat is this I don't even ![]()
So, any ideas/ Can it explode while simulating a nuke? Note I am not saying this *has* to be the computercube, just that it really seemed like it, and nothing else makes any sense.
Well it will explode upon an MV or higher packet hitting it, is it possible that one of these went into it, what was your friend doing at the time?
I don't know if the 1.3.2 change had anything to do with it, but in SMP achievements in Minecraft are pretty messed up, I once stood in a Nether portal on a server where Nether portals were disbled for about 3 minutes until I got the "Into the Nether" achievement, on that same server back in IC2 1.97 I killed myself with a nuke and failed to get the "Crazy Ivan" achievement. It might be a vanilla problem, or it might be a combination of vanilla and mods together
QuoteHello, forum heavyweight! Bully any good noobs today?
Hi! Not yet, although good noob is kind of paradoxical, in the way that in order to be a noob, you must obviously not be good at what you are doing. You want me to go through your other points? Okay.
QuoteI don't get it. We want better quality releases, but when people actually report bugs it's always the same. "WE KNEW ABOUT THAT ALREADY" or "YOU REPORTED THE BUG WRONG."
Alblaka has said on his blog
QuoteJust read through 25 Threads in the bug section... containing about ~7 different bugs.SEARCH FUNCTIONS!
When you report a bug that has already reported, a lot, you are wasting people's time and annoying the devs by restating the same things that have already been fixed, and have been stated to have been fixed in other threads reporting the same thing.
QuoteIf it's a known bug - or even better, a fixed bug - why hasn't a fix been released? I know that there are "reasons" for that but to an outsider if we just jump down everybody's throat for basically not being the first person to ever report this bug ever and not knowing that they weren't the first person to report this bug that just makes us look
bad.
This was literally the entire point of this thread, take it up there if you have a problem with it.
QuotePutting the onus on the bug reporter to "thoroughly research" (whatever that means) the bug they're trying to report just makes it more difficult for bugs to become known
Not really, because when you don't, you end up with threads like this one, where the op doesn't even know the difference between IC2 and a modular forcefield mod.
QuoteI've seen forum regulars be chastised for doing this. Maybe they just didn't see the thread, ever think of that? It effectively punishes new users for trying to be helpful
Can you point out a thread where this has happened? The only thing to this tune that I know of is where like 5 people posted bug report compilation threads that all reported the same bugs.
QuoteAll I'm saying is that the people on this forum could stand to be a little nicer to the noob sector. What the hell does it say about us that we can't tolerate people that are actively participating so that they can learn?
The rules exist for a reason, if people can't take the time to read the rules that are at the top of every section neatly stickied, why should we take the time to help them out?
QuoteYou know why these forums feel so stale and you keep hearing the same conversations over and over and over again? Well it's because we keep scaring off the new people!
This seems a little alarmist, I haven't seen any real staleness here, can you point some out?
QuoteThey're here, they found our forum, they want to participate, they have just as much right to play, enjoy, and participate in the IndustrialCraft 2 community as we do.
I'm not arguing with this, but the rules exist for a reason, in order to participate in the community, you at least have to know the rules of the section you are posting in, so we don't, once again, end up with 18 threads containing some mention of the same bug. You wouldn't just walk into a fine dining restaurant and proceed to pull out crayons and draw on the table, would you? This is the reason these rules exist, standardization of things so people don't make themselves look stupid by not knowing what they are doing.
QuoteJUST BE NICER OKAY?
So you want us to baby every single noob with a "thank you for your report, it was reported here, here, and here, but your report is completely welcome even though you could have just replied to one of those threads instead, and seen that the bug has already been fixed, but that's okay.", yet again, if they can't take the time to read, why should we take the time to baby?
QuoteAnd if that's too hard for us, this community deserves whatever it gets from that.
This is alarmist again, are you saying that doing the same thing that has always been done will get us a different outcome? Isn't the point of your argument that we should deviate from what has always been done?
QuoteWouldn't you rather show "noobs" the correct way of doing things than simply bully them away?
I help people in the Support sections and in the Addon sections as well when they cannot install correctly because, in most cases, I understand what they are going through in the way that I used to suck majorly at installing mods
QuoteCan anyone send me a working copy of their .minecraft folder? Mods absolutely hate me, I installed SDK correctly and it tells me I need minecraft forge despite the fact that I have it already. Also first post ftw!
This was my very first post on this site, back when I was absolutely clueless about what I was doing, but what I don't understand is when people somehow miss easy to see threads on how to search and make sure your bug has not already been reported.
Also,
QuoteI also like how you completely ignored every single one of my other points. Hello, forum heavyweight! Bully any good noobs today?
So you're insulting me in a thread about how we should stop insulting people? ![]()
