That's nothing to be proud of, 1.2.5 had little obfuscation changes from 1.2.4 and we didn't change the API in 1.97.

Full rubber armor for uninsulated cabling and tesla dodging is on the list. Provides good resistance but doesn't last long.

Begging for help does nothing. You're using a very old version of Forge that still uses ModLoaderMP along with a mod that depends on ModLoaderMP. Upgrade Forge and get rid of the mod.

It's an oooold bug because back then Forge broke special armor. It works great now.

Why pistons can't do the same?
Cables are tile entities, which pistons don't push./blindly remembers the IC1 days where you could make a cable gate using pistons...

BTB is actually a set of hacks to make BC work with BTW's partial implementation of Forge (source in the BTW zip).
Also, kinda mad at the Forge guys because of the substantial changes to Forge matching up with the substantial changes to Minecraft - double the work.
Can't we have a situation like 1.2.4 -> 1.2.5 where they noticed there were minor changes to MC and did the FML transition? -

Sounds keep breaking every update and we're trying to find a better solution - MC's system cannot pause or stop currently playing audio.

1.2.5, the longest lasting version ever in Minecraft's history, comes to an end, and we should follow so. This better have no critical bugs, lots of people are going to stay at 1.2.5!
Testing on the server ironed out a good deal of bugs (hence the big skip), but stuff like the energy-o-mat wasn't tested.
