It actually takes all the power of a fully charged wrench, the mode is intended to be used with a lappack.

(note for those who actually made CASUC reactors which exceed EV with 1.81's ability to pipe/tube in to chambers: no cable supports that, you need an HV transformer attached directly to the reactor :S)

Yeah... Would be nice if you ran Mushroom and checked how many spots haven't been changed to MushroomIsland. (since 1.2, the biome is shown in the F3 screen below the coordinates as "b:")

Right now only Mushroom does, but it tends to be glitchy (not changing the biome from time to time) - I left it in to get some feedback from the community.

There is no v8.55 for IC2 and there's no 1.2.4 version.
Installing IC1 in 1.2.4? Laugh of the day.

I might include a console print in the 1.2.4 version to diagnose this weird issue.
Redstone not being usable on battery slots is known and was fixed.

The drop rates for machines didn't change, if they did I'd inform in the changelog.

TNT ghosts were greatly reduced but are still there, Dinnerbone has acknowledged that and they will be fully fixed in the next version. Also RIP block transmuter, RIP signs being edited wiping when receiving redstone on SMP.
Good news is that sources inform that there will be no 1.2.5.

On the first one you're doing it right. Some systems (like yours) don't seem to like the sound system, disable sounds in config/IC2.cfg and try again.

Did you make the cable too long? HV cable is extremely lossy, if you are producing less than 512 EU/t glass fiber cables are better for this.

We don't plan on making the cables indirectly connect to redstone, even though Forge does let us.
