Which also reminds me of another idea I had last night which would be a good suggestion...

Could you add your own versions of the Advanced generators' wood burner? Some suggestions for how it could work;

There would be two versions, a low-tech multiblock one which is made of a 3x3x3 block structure made of bricks, with a firebox on one of the bottom sides, a machine block in the center, and a gas exhaust on the top. The GUI would have an input slot for charcoal/coal/burnable stuff, which can be automatically input into from the firebox, a slot or two for wood blocks, a slot for empty cells with a tank next to it for the wood gas, and an output slot for filled cells, which can be accessed from the gas exhaust. Since the woodblock slot would be inaccessable to automation, this means that it cannot be fully automated, and requires you to empty and refill the machine from time to time.
Once you've put woodblocks into the right slot, it will then begin to consume burnable fuel. This will be spent to increase an internal progress bar until a certain amount has been consumed, anywhere from 16-32 charcoal worth. Once this has been achieved, it will consume the wood blocks and make the woodblock slot inaccessable, count how many wood blocks it's consumed, and then slowly output an amount of wood gas proportional to that amount. I was thinking that a stack should take about a full minecraft day to be fully exhausted, and once it has finished it will output an amount of charcoal equal to the amount of woodblocks consumed.

The second version would be a more compact single-block electric wood burner, which would work more like the wood burners from advanced generators. It would basically be a furnace that runs off EU, can only burn woodblocks, and also output some wood gas into an internal tank. (but less per woodblock then the manual version above)

Also, could you make electric wrenches making machine blocks a config option, Greg?

Since you've made machine blocks more complex then before, could you remove the old uncrafting recipe for it, add refined iron storage blocks, and allow machine blocks to be made of alternative materials? For example, invar and aluminium?

TE does not add tools, only armor. I wouldn't be bugging you about it if it did.

Though, it would probably make more sense for me to bug King Lemming about it, but I dunno if he'd like random PMs with suggestions.

Speaking of electric wrenches, does the second number in their tooltip show durability? Is that used every time the wrench is used, or only when the wrench runs out of EU?

EDIT: Also, could you add invar tools, as a slight upgrade to iron? Such as pickaxes and axes and such? Although this would probably only be useful to those using TE, still it would be nice to have some tool options other then bronze and iron before you reach the EU stage, especially if you're planning on making the entrance cost higher.

Add an IC2 crop plant, which drops apples.
And that's pretty much it.

I would say it would probably work well as a low-mid tier plant, maybe around melon or cocoa? And you could just copy the Slimeball plant texture (But with more green) over and add red circles when it's ready to harvest.

I know, but electric sorters just seem rather expensive and excessive for such a simple task...

Maybe I'm remembering the recipe wrong, though.

What do you mean, not useful as something other then exploits? Why can't I power my base off of pigs? >:c
I mean, for the amount of resources you put into it, methane is already a terrible source of power. Why does it need yet another nerf?

Also, if you want a good nerf to methane, install Greg's no infinite water addon, and either turn down the aqueous accumulator speed factor to 1 or simply disable it entirely.

There's already blaze reeds, plus what about all the things you can do with plants already, and how much more effective growing them in Crops can be?

Although, I suppose a plant that drops either tiny piles of coal dust or sawdust would be nice... Especially sawdust, I actually like that idea a lot, thinking about it...

Also, could you add a way to make stone/cobblestone for those who opt to play without infinite cobble generators? Perhaps some kind of conversion (such as in a crafting recipe) of silicon + compressed air = 8 sand, as well as a compressor recipe to turn sandstone into cobblestone? Or maybe just make a recipe for sand, and a recipe for cobblestone?

I know it might sound useless to many of you, but it won't hurt anything just to add it for the people who will find it useful.

It would also be GREAT if you could add some kind of option for disabling vanilla cobblestone generation,such as for example causing it to create glass instead? Since it's difficult even with mods to find automated silk touch, so it could only be mined practically manually.

An extension of my earlier idea, about magic every converters/absorbers consuming aspects directly from nearby/adjacent jars; What about allowing filled warded jars to be placed directly into the converter, which will consume the aspects in the jar and produce energy based on the amount consumed.
I would imagine both the type of jar and its fullness would be meta data, so it should just be a matter of getting and using the right info. Obviously, it would output an empty warded jar.

It's impossible to get rid of aspects without either 1. throwing away the bottle of essentia, wasting clay, or 2. releasing it into the atmosphere as flux. Flux is generally bad, so it can be seen a fairly considerable cost. Furnaces make 12 aspects of flux for 2 aspects of ignis, which generate 20,000 EU. That's a lot of flux for 20,000 EU.

Also, as SpawnX said, lignum and, if also added, herba should not be nearly as powerful as ignis. 1000 eu per aspect seems like a good number, really.

Also, perhaps a few other aspects could be added, but at cost to the environment? for example, fractus could cause random explosions in empty spaces around the generator, destroying things that aren't blast protected, including the generator itself. Mutatio could dump flux into the atmosphere, while Corpus could spawn random, hostile mobs?

Fair enough.
Lignum and herba would be nice things to add to the list. I'm tempted to say Fractus as well, but I know that would allow cobblestone to be used for infinite energy, though with craptons of Solum being produced as a byproduct.

What about allowing the Magic Energy Converter to absorb burnable aspects from nearby/adjacent jars of essentia? If this would cause additional, unnecessary lag for people who don't use this feature, then perhaps there could be a button to toggle it?

Or, you could make it a functionality for the Magic Energy Absorber, perhaps in adddition to allowing it to burn all essentia, with various burn values?

Fuel can come from planks. It's six smelts per log with 4 planks, anyway, so not THAT much worse.

How would people make torches, then? Coal isn't always near the surface, and they're rather important early-on... Maybe if you allowed ash to be crafted into one torch each.

Maybe some ideas for them; Abyssal stone could give trace amounts of diamond, emerald, and lazurite dusts, with the rest of the mass being accounted for as basalt dust? Quarried stone could just be the same as marble, maybe with some extra goodies thrown in, red rock could just turn into red rock dust from Biomes XL, while Skystone could be similar to endstone? (The land it comes from requires endstone and a nether star to access, anyway)

Would you be willing to add some way to keeping a charge pad on permanently, without having to be abusive to animals? It would be nice to have a large field emitter be actually useful outside of multiplayer...

What about adding a config option for replacing the compact solars recipes with assembling machine recipes?
