Condenser not receiving steam

  • I'm using the most recent DW20 pack for Minecraft 1.7.10, trying to make Distilled Water for Coolant.

I have a railcraft boiler producing steam, moving the steam from the boiler to the condenser with EnderIO Fluid Conduit. I have the conduit connector set to insert. Using Rednet energy conduit to supply power to the condenser. The red lightning bolt IS charging, so the machine is receiving power, but the interface shows absolutely no change as far as steam coming in or anything actually happening. What am I missing?

I know this doesn't really help, but I feel it necessary to say that this stage has made IC2 almost not worth using. I'm just trying to make some overclockers, and it has taken me all day so far to figure out how and why it just doesn't work intuitively. Having to sneak-click on the exterior of the machine to move water from the cell into the internal tank? Why can't I just put the cell in the input slot of the machine and have it work?

IC2 doesn't use normal steam, it uses it's own. Either you make a boiler, or just get solar distillers for distilled water.

145 Mods isn't too many. 9 types of copper and 8 types of tin aren't too many. 3 types of coffee though?

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realise that what you read was not what I meant.

    I see this too much.

  • if you go for solar distillers, you will have to make a lot though, they are SLOW, like one bucket coolant per RL hour.

Native language german, please point out mistakes to me. forget it, my english is better than that of a good deal of people on the forums anyway.

  • Yeah, I have two of them running. What are the conditions required for them to actually process? I have them sitting outside with an unobstructed view of the sky but they just seem to stop running every so often. Is it just light level? Is there a way to trick them into running continuously?

They run in the day and stop at night, just like solar panels do. Simple as that.
