[Question] Should I see IC-created machines after installing IC²? (SSP)

    Should I expect to see machines that I built in IC 7.16 after an install of IC² 1.23?


    I did a clean install of MC (deleted .minecraft folder, installed fresh MC 1.8.1,) then as instructed on the wiki I installed (in order) ModLoader, ModLoaderMP and MCForge, and confirmed that I have no META-INF folder in my jar. I then ran MCPatcher 2.2.0, dropped "industrialcraft-2-client_1.23.jar" into the mods folder, and launched the game. In the places where I have machines and cabling there are just holes, and all of the IC materials stored in chests are missing. This is the same in both the default texture pack and with my 64x pack.


    I must be missing something, but I can't figure out what.

    The ID system has completely changed, and the wires themselves have gone under such a difference, that even with the converter that you can use, not much will be left.
