Support Request : Crash on SMP server

Hi there,

I and some friends have this error on my SMP server which runs IC² 1.23 + BC 2.2.5, but no item of BC are on the server at the moment.

java.io.IOException: String length of 1912602624 is higher than the max (65535).

I think it comes from IC² ? I had optifine but I removed it to be sure.

Make sure you have the most updated modloadermp and forge installed.

Is this purely a client issue or can the server be at fault? Certain people on my server get this consistently. Yes, I do have the latest forge as well as more then enough system resources and bandwidth.

3 of 7 people have this problem constantly, can not play near IC machines. Some others not, with exactly the same client.

This happens if you don't follow our installation order and install forge before MLMP..

Hum I followed your installation order, installed Forge after MLMP on server and client. Maybe I can retry it.

Is there incompatibility with BC 2.2.2.5, HotAirBallons or Powerconverters maybe ?

I really dont think this is IC. The string errors abated a little with buildcraft upgrades and then even more for my users when I raised the latency to 320 from 20. I've seen the sound error...maybe that is what you are refering to with users having trouble near IC machines...but this string error is a very different animal, IMO. I'd wager that buildcraft is responsible for this.
