Suggestion: EC-Block

  • A block to accurately measure and display currents passing through it. (It would be a machine, in order to balance both the costs and make coding easier).

    It would display 2 different values, EC/s (or frame) and EC/ks (or 1000 frames). This would enable a reliable monitoring of both LV and HV currents. In a circuitry sense it would behave just like a cable (which doesnt care what type of current is put through it). Possible uses include:

    -inputs into factories
    -outputs of generator fields
    -maintenance stations along HV-grid.

    craft recipe:

    [C][EC][C]
    [R][M][R]
    [C][ ][C]

    C=Cable
    EC=EC-manipulator
    R=Redstone
    M=Machine

    Interesting idea, then you don't have to tote around an ec man. when you want to measure things like what you said, I like the idea, might just get implemented :)

    Lesson 1: Watch over your crops....

  • You could actually get by just with the EU/ks reading... that would also get rid of the need to update the block every frame. Could get the block to run an average upon opening the GUI.
