My world loads just fine it was the world i used in 1.8 but i figured i could use it in 1.0. Mabey not?
I had some mods installed:
ic2
bc
wireless redstone
portal gun
ee
If i start a different world it works just fine
I had advanced machines in my world mabey that messed it up?
If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it. 
Did you run the world without advanced machines installed, but still had some of the machines still in it? If so, try using Mcedit to delete the machines. That might fix it. As well, are there any other mods/add-ons you had in 1.8 but not in your current version?
We cannot help you without crash logs... Unless, like the above poster, we just assume something and you happen to solve it from that assumtion.
Either way, provide logs and we have something to go on.
