I was using an Id resolver so I could use ninja mod and castle defender mod together with ic2 and I received this error

Install Forge properly!

If I am right you tried installing forge by putting it inside the mods folder right? Because that's what I did the first time, got almost the same error. But then I tried adding the contents of the zip directly into the minecraft.jar and I got no problems so far I hope it helps.

Facepalm. Forge goes in the jar, not in the mods folder.

No I threw the forge in jar, I out the ic2 jar in mods

Robigton 4k block fix is also know to cause a whole array of problems to many mods.
