just read the wiki articels about the Quantum Suit but still I have two questions.
How is the hunger replenishing of the helmet working?
When will the Chestplate discharge? I hugged some Creepers, tried to swimm in lava and made a visit into the void. but no discharge.

takes energy to replensh your hunger.
as to the body armor: it takes a lot to make it notice any drain. Like say, extended battles with the Ender Dragon in The End where he tries to fly right through you. (usually this means death but not with a q-suit chest piece)
Put that armor in a MFSU and you will see some recharge, it just isn't noticeable yet is all.
As said above, the chest-piece has a VERY high charge capacity, you can probably hug a couple nukes without losing much of your total power.
