[2030EU/T] I got bored soooo here is my result.

  • First off this requires:

    • RedPower2
    • Equivalent Exchange2
    • Iron Chest(Optional)
    • Industrial Craft(Uuuhhh Duh?)

So, I saw a video of an Ice Cooled Nuclear Powerplant and thought what if I used Energy Condensers from EE2 to make the ice instead of Snow Golems. This is the result.
    Overview

    Ice Storage(Optional but Recommended)

RedPower Solar Panels to power the retrievers.

    EU Output

    Reactor Setup

If requested I will upload the map for people to look at more closely.

    Thanks.

  • Everything I've seen it probably wouldn't be possible seeing at the uranium heats up to fast. Even if I swapped 1 ice stack for uranium it would blow up before it finished the cycle.

It is possible to do, but you would have to have only half a cycle or less for it to happen. AKA: You'd have to have a cooldown period where it wouldn't be making power at all.

  • No what i mean make some redstone circuits that put a extra uran cell in it and take it out again after some time and replace it with ice and repeat this xxx times. MAYBE you can get slightly higher output and efficiency like this. I know this is much harder to do but then that reactor will stand out because i seen this type design many many times. Wouldnt be very practicaly i think but it would be cool :)

    .........also without Equivalent Exchange

P.S.: But If you prefer Equivalent Exchange. well, it's possible to produce 2070 EU/t.
