I haven't tested the other bronze tools, but I can say that the bronze pickaxe is taking a long time with IC2 ores. Normal ores it cuts through them (exception redstone, which saddens me) fast.

Fixed for the next release. Except redstone. Forge actually purposefully recreates that oddity, so the bronze pickaxe doesn't mess with it. Our drills still go through it like butter though.

why not to replace all redstone on chunk population with different block that can be controlled?
this wont cause any problems becouse no way to get redstone as block.

Yeah I noticed the drill still works through the redstone fast, but I was more concerned about the excess time when mining tin, copper, and uranium. It has been fixed so that will be something to look foward to in the next release
