Problem with using EU?

  • Hello! I started playing with IC2, learned how to use some of its things, but i need your help now. I have a watermill-powered batbox, which outputs EU to my furnaces, macerator, etc. It also gives EU to MFSU. I use it sometimes to charge my sword, but when i dont use it, it still takes EU from my batbox, and theres less energy in my furnaces. Actually i just break the wire every time i stop using MFSU, but is there any way to close EU transmitting in a wire, for example with a lever? Sorry for my bad english!
    Thanks for helping,

Use the splitter cable. If that doesn't work, try placing a transformer inline and then apply a redstone signal to that, so the EU which enters the three-dotted side can't flow through the one-dotted sides.

  • Just a quick tip, the splitter cable has an EU loss of 0.5. That means, if you do not want any EU loss on your cable, it would have to be:
    - 19+1 blocks long or shorter (ULV-Cable)
    - 2+1 blocks long or shorter (Any Copper Cable)
    - 1+1 block long or shorter (2xIns. Gold Cable)
