• I use Minecraft 1.2.5 ; industrialcraft-2-client_1.103 ; MC Forge ; and ; Modloader.

    IC² is working but incorectly my Problem is i don´t have many important items like DENSE COPPER PLATE and many other nuclear important Parts like ALL VENTS ; ALL CONDENSATORS ; THREE HEAT EXCHANGER ; NEUTRON REFLECTOR and co DENSE COPPER PLATE is very important and its hard to play without it. I dont have filled fuel can too. I dont have this items and i cant craft them i searched long since a few days for a sollution but i dont found someone. IC² is very cool but it would be much cooler if i´ll this items, so pleas help me.

    ;(

  • Those items were added around 1.106, while you're using a version prior to the reactor re-write...

    :Nuke TNT: = Answer to all problems. Including that creeper camping right outside the door of your glass house.

  • In MC 1.2.5 the reactor system is MUCH DIFFERENT from now, they use a totally different and highly exploitable system. The easiest way to build a reactor in 1.2.5 is fill it up with Uranium cells except 8 - 9 spaces and repeatedly pipe in Water Buckets or Ice. And pipe out the buckets if you use Water Buckets.

  • Yes but how can i craft Reactorchambers without dense copper plates. ? Another receipe ?

    Sigh, afraid to point you here but when you are using a really old version, you might want to take alook at the T***** Wiki, since its super outdated (but unfortuantly much more detailed then we would admit :p )

    To be honest i actually prefer the recipes for the old reactor but the new System is much better.

    I corrected it for you.

  • NEI and CraftGuide are very useful recipe mods, get either one of them, both of them date back to at least MC 1.0.0 (I think CraftGuide goes back to beta)

    In case not, check the recipe.
    I put the recipe on the Nuclear Reactor a while ago, you should go to the history section, there is the recipe there.

    Here's the official guide.
    Here's the version 1 reactor planner
    Here's the old list of good reactor designs
    Here are the key differences

    Display Spoiler

    There are no Dual or Quad Uranium Cells.
    There are no 30k or 60k Coolant Cells.
    There are no heat vents.
    There are no condensators.
    There are no heat exchangers.
    There is only the Integrated Plating, and it has a different purpose.
    Ice, Water Buckets and Lava Buckets can be used to increase or decrease heat. The first 2 are also known as SUC (Single Use Coolant. A setup using other mods to automatically supply them is known as a CASUC (Continually Applied SUC)
    Water, Air, Lava and Fire surrounding the reactor blocks will affect its cooling and heating. The area which these blocks are checked for is a 3x3x3 area with the reactor core as its centre.
    Heat is distributed totally differently
    Coolant Cells and Reactor Platings passively disperse heat, the latter dispersing 10 times slower than the former
    Reactor Chambers and the Hull will also passively disperse heat.
    Each 3k heat the reactor has, the breeding speed doubles.

    The old reactor classification system:

    Display Spoiler

    Note: Critical heat = 8500, explosion = 10 000
    System components exclude SUCs.

    Mk. I
    This reactor can run an infinite or practically infinite number of cycles without reaching critical heat nonstop, or a system component melting.
    Mk. I-I reactors can run infinite cycles based on their internal cooling.
    Mk. I-O reactors require external cooling (water) to run infinite cycles.

    Mk. II
    This reactor can run at least one cycle nonstop without reaching critical heat, or a system component melting.
    You can add a number after it (like this: Mk. II-1, II-3) to show how many cycles it can run nonstop before reaching critical heat. If the reactor can run for at least 16 cycles, you can label it Mk. II-E. (E for endless)

    Mk. III
    This reactor can run for at least 1000 seconds nonstop before melting system components.

    Mk. IV
    This reactor can run for at least 1000 seconds nonstop before exploding.

    Mk. V

    Quote from Alblaka

    "A reactor incapable of running smoothly and solely designed to prove the fact reactors can explode."

    SUCs
    If your reactor (excluding breeders) require SUC, attach "-SUC" to the back.

    Efficiency
    How to calculate efficiency: Divide your reactor output by the number of uranium cells and then by 5. After that, attach the following letters to the back based on the following chart
    Efficiency = 1: EE
    Efficiency > 1, <= 2: ED
    Efficiency > 2, <= 3: EC
    Efficiency > 3, <= 4: EB
    Efficiency > 4, <= 5: EA

    Hypothetical max efficiency is 5, but current known max is 4.44.

    Breeders
    Negative-Breeders:
    The breeder will cool down eventually, requiring lava buckets to bring them back to optimum efficency

    Equal-Breeders:
    Epitome of breeders. It will never cool down or heat up by more than 1000 points during a full cycle.

    Positive-Breeders:
    The breeder will produce excess heat and you will need to micromanage them or use SUCs to bring them back to safe levels.
