Minecraft doesn't actually use all the RAM you got, to give it more you can use MagicLauncher(Search on minecraftforums)

Supplying water mills with water buckets makes them generate 2EU/t, since you have Redpower2 you can use a system of Deployer to pick up the water, a Transposer/Filter to send the buckets to the mills, and Retriever that retrieve the empty buckets from the mill to the Deployer

I think you just need to press ALT and it will work properly again. That happens a lot to me.

Trampling wasn't REMOVED from vanilla, it's just that you can walk on it now, but not jump on it.
