By the way guys, the official FTB wiki is now open, so if you guys wanna start documenting there, feel free.
I got a bunch of templates setup for all the different machine recipe types.

Better combine these two.
Honestly, I'd be willing to use Java just to get GregTech ported over to the TerraFirmaCraft system.
Imagine how gloriously long the tech tree would be -

I'm now the official GregTech guy for the official FTB wiki.
Which means, send me all your information and I will write up lovely articles for them. -
I noticed it is possible to disable the forestry bronze nerf with the following config.
B:bronzeingotcrafting=false
This unfortunately adds back the bronze exploit.
Could you perhaps fix this by providing a config to choose whether bronze follows the IC2 or Forestry standard? So that either ALL bronze is cheap or ALL bronze is expensive.
Also, Forestry itself provides a config to disable forestry bronze ingot crafting, so you don't need to handle that yourself.
If you don't do this I will have to murder you -
I'm going to be working on getting into the FTB official wiki so I can write up proper GregTech documentation there.
Once that's good to go you can just PM me with any new information you may have and I'll update the wiki. -
Seriously, we need proper GregTech nuclear reactors, no more of this IC2 reactor shit.
- Disable the IC2 reactor and make your own.
- The reactor's heat should be what generates energy through the creation of steam. Still, too much heat results in a meltdown.
- The reactor should require a constant input of water to turn into steam for energy generation. If the water stops flowing then the reactor will start to overheat.
- If the reactor reaches too high of a heat the reactor should melt, everything within a large radius should melt and catch on fire with flowing lava everywhere and lots of radiation.
- The reactor can be made out of various materials. Some have a higher temperature capacity and can last longer before melting down.
- No more transfer or vent components. It's just various fuel rods and control rods. Use canning machine to dump fuels into fuel rods (which are reusable).
- If the density of fuel rods reaches a critical mass (by inserting fuel rods or removing control rods) then the reactor should have a nuclear explosion.
- As fuel rods decay they turn into other materials, and the rods can be centrifuged to obtain these by-products. Two kinds of decay, regular old nuclear decay and being pulsed with neutrons from other fuel cells. Useful to make tritium out of lithium and stuff.
- No more mucking about with dual/quad cells. One rod per slot.
- A way to refine uranium (compressing uranium is NOT refining). Bunch of uranium -> bit of U-235 with lots of U-238.
- Better compatibility with Calclavia's atomic science.

This method would probably be perfect for storing the EU of a fusion reactor, though you would need a large amount of steam boilers to process all of it.
You know what a better way to store the output of a fusion reactor is? Storing the plasma directly in a quantum tank. Wayyy higher energy density than anything else and it involves no complex sub-steps or any loss. -
This page describes which biomes spawn which ores:

I have now tried with just Forge, IC2 (IC2_lf build 294 from player's Jenkins) and the latest Advanced Solar Panels in a new instance. Please help!
Edit: Same error
Downgrade to IC2 build 289 until the IC2 api changes stabilize and mods upgrade to the new api. -
Since the odds of us having RedPower Marble anytime soon are close to nonexistent, the Chisel mod is a great way to get back the magnesium and calcite we need.
Macerating marble -> marble dust which is perfect as it is already implemented in GT.
Macerating limestone -> calcite dust which is also perfect because it is already implemented in GT.
So, adding support for the Chisel mod amounts to nothing more than adding two maceration recipes.
Do it!Imagine, if Minecraft could look like this

Let stuff, like the distillation tower, work with liquids directly instead of cells.
Actually, having your own sort of liquid transposer, akin to TE's, would be awesome. I'm ditching TE for 1.5.1, so please?
Also, more advanced oil processing, more by-products and stuff useful for making various fancy materials.
Plastic, asphalt, tar, cement, all sorts of industrial materials which would look awesome for building.
Oil sands and stuff to properly obtain oil without buildcraft.
Intrude more on Universal Electricity mods.
Completely redo the IC2 nuclear system with something way better and more realistic.
Your amazing massive solar farms that you promise us all the time. -
Thanks.
Changing the CP config from item ids 20006–20008 to 21006–21008 seems to have fixed it (when time later I'll try making some modules, but at least NEI is showing far more CP items in game now).
However, in NEI's id dump and the tooltips in the game the ids showing are 21262–21264 rather than the numbers given in the CP config… in other cases of id conflicts the config file and in game ids have matched (and mismatches were therefore easier to spot and fix). Any idea what the relationship between the configured and in game numbers are?
The actual ID's are the config'd ID's plus 256. That's just the way IC2 works and it's kinda weird. -
Its a repalcement for two devices (drill and chainsaw) saving one inventory slot does not make up for such a massive change in consumption. The energy blast built in might be worth while, but well, gregtech recipes, a solid gold house would be cheaper.
Please don't make the GregTech recipes cheaper D:
What you could do though is provide two sets of GregTech recipes, one easier, and one super hard -
Is it permissible to use this mod in a modpack (FTB)
Ditto.
I'd love to use this mod in my FTB private pack, but we need your permission. -
Eloraam was also so great and Invented the OreDictionary. It's a really great Invention, it's perfect, I use it all the time without any Bugs. Moment, what's that Crafting Recipe? Eloraam doesnt fully use HER OWN OREDICTIONARY!!! Seriously, why not?! I've spent long time to find a public (so for everyone) way to announce Bugs to her. Well, unless you are on ForgeCraft or ShadowDragons Server, you can't even report Bugs properly (yes I know Redpower is absolutly perfect and doesnt has any Bug to report at all...). And I doubt she accepts Bugreports via Twitter. You could ofcourse report Bugs on her official MC-Forum Thread! When was she online on that Forum last time? Oh, nevermind...
You know, if you want to report bugs with redpower, you can always head on Esper IRC to #redpower where there's people who will take your bug reports and pass them on to Eloraam. -
tekkit only known bukkitlike with mods supported and mods ported to it.
wait for TS reply to proov me right
Theres lots of people running FTB servers with MCPC+.
They have both bukkit plugins and forge mods, and there is never a single mention of tekkit or technic. -
Just for fun, here is my breeder.
http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…jhcop3b0hx1l0zgrq99wvdc7s1440 cells recharged using 1 quad thorium, and it also produces 12 million EU.
If you prefer a slower breeder which really maxes out the amount of cells recharged per thorium, here is a single thorium cell design
http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…lt428gzmjkvafh7omc57v71i5418.6 cells recharged using 1 thorium, which is 16.3% more efficient per thorium than my previous design, and also saves on copper plates, but it only produces 1 million EU.
To expand on my previous breeders, here is a much cheaper and smaller design which is still maximally efficient at breeding.

Warning, staying around this breeder WILL hurt. -
