Not quite. There are 3 climatically extreme Biomes in vanilla. Mushroom Island which is extreme Ocean, Mesa which is extreme Desert and Ice Spikes, which is an extreme Ice Plains biome. Those Biomes are the end of the Biome Generation Chain and are created close to their slightly less extreme Counterparts. If you have for example an Ice Spikes Biome, you can be 100% sure there is an Ice Plains Biome next to it (even if that is small in comparision with the others around it). Since they are the End of the Biome chain, they have the lowest chance of spawning, because they can only be generated adjacent to one special Biome (what doesn't mean that it cannot be next to another Biome as well, I had a Savanna right next to Ice Spikes, but it was still adjacent to Ice Plains).

Speaking from personal experience not statistics. I went exploring for 3 hours and found 6 different mesas and an ice spike thingy.

Regardless of popular belief, they are actually about as common as any other biome.

Suggestion: Force charcoal to be made in a blast furnace only, then make charcoal dust usable for carbon plates and stuff. Charcoal IRL has a purer carbon content then most coal

A small amount of energy, perhaps like 1 eu/t per bucket would be cool. It would make Steam boilers useful later on (Greg, perhaps make some generators that use larger amounts of fuel to make more steam instead of tiny ones?)

The majority of people who disliked it just don't like change. Same thing happened to when the gui updated last, it was a super good change and everyone was just like: "NO OMFG GOOGLE11!!1 GOOGLE MUST DIE GUH". Really, the only annoying thing is people abusing the links and stuff, so they should definitely disable links.
With the change, you can use Bold and italics and the conversation part is much better (although they should make and option so that only people directly replying to you are seen in the email notification).
IMO, the spammers are the only thing REALLY bad with it.

Anyone know what the "IC2 Hub expand" and "IC2 Side Inventory" do, or are just placeholders?

And I personally stopped using Chunkloaders after I found out that it is enough to place Hoppers to load a group of Chunks at once (so that it doesn't happen to load/unload 50% of your Base).

You can get the manganese from Tungsten ore I think and then you just need Chrome dust from the rubies.

I would remove vanilla IC2's Laser and start with a blank one that just fires a continuous weak laser that makes fire. From then on you would add upgrades (shots instead of continuous, heat for damage, higher energy concentration for mining, explosive, ect)

Personally, since YT turned my email into a Google + thing about 3 months ago (did it not do that for everyone else?) I made a channel instead of browsing with my email so that it would use my username and stuff. The only bad things about the new comment system are the people spamming the petition that will change nothing and the random Character Penisis thanks to the removal of the character limit.

As of Experimental it does. @Above, yes this is the correct place since Experimental is latest and EVERYTHING (bug reports, suggestions ect) should always be for the latest version.
I do think Coal (not charcoal though, that should be nerfed >:D ) should be buffed because it is an annoying resource you mine out of the ground and its only use is carbon plates and torches. Would be nice seeing people power their main machines off of a coal fired plant instead of the same old lava or BC/forestry fuel.
