Thunderdark added a normal water recipe in version 535 (the latest one), but it takes 8 lapis dust.
-
and this too.
Nuclear Control 2 isn't stable/finished, so it should move when it is, but not right now
-
Did it? I never realised. Are we still kill anything which uses source code for crops? Especially if it was source code from 1.97?
-
-
According to the bug tracker, yes.
-
the steam generator should be like the RC boilers, auto output steam to legit containers/pipes.
It already auto-outputs steam. What more do you want of it? -
The superheater is designed to heat steam again in order for it to be able to produce more EU in the steam turbine. It sounds like it could be interesting and useful, but it depends on how it works.

Thunderdark was on Forgecraft 1 for quite a while. Ejector upgrades are all you really need unless you're doing something pretty or flat or the like.

Just stumbled across a website which works out the exact probability of getting a type of IC2 crop from what crops are being cross bred. Guess some people really did want all the answers.
-
You almost need the buildcraft pipes to get far into IC2
Do you? -
EDIT: Just noticed build 535 and the different recipe for coolant. Hehe...
He never even said when it changed from 1 lapis dust and water to 1 lapis dust and distilled water. Guess that's what spawning it in creative for testing does. -
Actually, it's only TE that does that leveled restriction for copper and tin.
Forestry definitely does, and yes your point is right. It generates an appropriate amount to the amount that is used. -
Actually, I think IC2's is better, since apart from the silly lava cost (unless you use reactor hot coolant), it actually makes waaaaaay more steam per millibucket of water.
-
ok my boiler is heating up and can i place the condensator dircetly to the Steam generator and the Steam automaticaly goes in there?
Yes, the boiler auto-ejects the steam it has. If it's buffer fills to 10000 mb of steam and it isn't used, it will vent it and smoke particles will go everywhere.
-
That and IC2 ores go all the way down to a Y level of 6, while pretty much every other's mod stops copper after like 40 or something and tin down to 20 ish.

Cos this: http://bt.industrial-craft.net/view.php?id=1144
Since the heat system has a heat conductor, the kinetic system should too. IMO, you should use mining pipes, because they are underused and are rod shaped after all. Else, 3 plates vertically should make a kinetic shaft in order to pass the rotation between the machines. Whether it actually does, or is just used as a crafting component, I don't mind.
THE KINETIC WIND GENERATOR
Since it runs off wind, it should have the windmill somewhere in the recipe.X X X
X W S
X X XX = Empty Space
W = Windmill
S = Shaft or Mining PipeTHE KINETIC GENERATOR
It should either be:X X X
X G S
X X XX = Empty Space
G = Generator
S = Shaft or Mining Pipeor
C C C
C G S
C C CC = Iron Item Casing
G = Generator
S = Shaft or Mining PipeThe first one is to fit in with the Wind generator, the second to match more like the current one.
THE KINETIC STEAM GENERATOR (TURBINE)
C C C
B T S
C C CC = Iron Item Casing
B = Copper Boiler
T = Turbine Blade
S = Shaft or Mining PipeJust an idea

Ahhh there is one last Question: how the Steam generator generatest steam?
I have filled water inside but how i make the water hot?
First of all, it's slow. Like really slow. There is a line in the config which lets you choose how slow it is:
Code; Balace Values for Heat Capacities (Water per 1mB) and boiler [balance / steamgenerator / heatcapacities] water = 50 boiler = 5000
I've already changed them, but essentially, the lower they are, the faster the water will heat up.
To heat the water, you must use the new mechanic - heat. You can tell a machine makes or needs heat by if it has a copper coloured square on one of it's faces.
In order to transfer heat, you must have a heat generator's square touching a heat acceptor's. There are many ways to generate heat:- Solid Heat Generator - burn items to generate heat - 10 heat
- Fluid Heat Generator - burn fluids* to generate heat - 8, 16 or 32 heat
- Radioisotope Heat Generator - use RTG pellets to generate heat - 0 to 24 heat, 6 heat per RTG pellet
- Electric Heat Generator - use EU to generate heat (1 EU = 1 heat) - 0 to 30 heat, 5 heat per coil added
- Liquid Heat Exchanger - Cool either lava or hot coolant to generate heat - 25 to 100 heat, extra 25 heat per added vent
* Fluids count as:- Buildcraft Oil and Forestry Biomass - 8 Heat
- Forestry's Ethanol - 16 Heat
- Buildcraft Fuel - 32 Heat
Your best bet is to use a Liquid Heat Exchanger with 3 heat vents in, which given either hot coolant from a reactor or lava, will generate 100 heat and is the best heat generator currently available.

Only the upgrade mechanic is overpowered. The rest they never commented on

OK, you have to get the distilled water into the left hand tank. Either you use a universal fluid cell of distilled water then you can right click it straight into the tank, get another mod's tank and pump it in (since it is a liquid) or get another canning machine, set it to empty from cell into tank mode and then either use another mod's pipes or a fluid ejector upgrade to get it into the first canning machine.
Distilled water comes from the steam generator producing steam, and pumping the steam into either a condenser or a kinetic steam generator. The kinetic steam generator can make EU from the steam, but needs a turbine. The condenser doesn't need a turbine, yet it needs EU.
