You can probably face the pump towards the tank and pump out of it like that, at least the pump should be able to do that and it's a bug somewhere if it can't.

He said he wouldn't drop it, but he did say he'd stop developing it. That sounds a lot like yes that's a bug, no it's never going to get fixed and no I don't care much. Dropping IC completely would be pulling all the download links to it too.
That said, Alblaka disappeared without a trace completely, so it's a little short sighted to just focus on IC

Until it is fixed in IC2, just use an earlier version.

I can't access safes (even newly placed ones), as even in Single Player, the games doesn't think I own the safe.
I'm still going to update to 1.7.10 and see if the Safe issue is sorted and how things go in general. Then I think I'll go back to the 1.6.4 complete .minecraft folder backup I made, empty all the safes (maybe even pick them all up), then update to 1.7.2 and 1.7.10 again.
Your best bet is to empty and break all your safes if you want to keep using them, if they don't open it will be to do with the way they are saved, most likely using the player's name but trying to compare that to the player's UUID. -
You're best updating to 1.7.2 first then 1.7.10, unless you go for some of the earlier 1.7.10 builds as Thunderdark removed the migration code as it wasn't needed anymore.

SeNtiMeL was last online a month and a half ago, and his last mod update was half a year ago, it is unlikely to be fixed any time soon, even more so if it's not a crash bug.

Anyone have a world with the Info Panel texture glitch? I'm looking to fix that problem but cannot replicate it myself.
It's a really hard bug to replicate, I think there's some combination of mods that does it because I could pretty consistently get it with one of my earlier 1.7.10 mod collections, but that also affected REI's Minimap, so it might not have been Nuclear Control's fault that it was happening. -
Although 1.6.4 is no longer supported, which IC2 version is it running? I don't see a way of fixing it if it is the last (397) as the EU-Reader didn't work so the detector cable will have the same bug, just potentially not disabled to avoid crashes like this.

It's WAILA that adds the thing you're seeing so you should go talk to them about it. Also the 2 links you posted go to the same image.

There is a config option in the config file to skip these duplicate recipes.
This one?
I didn't realise it counted duplicate recipes as invalid, I thought it only skipped the ones using invalid items.

That doesn't help when one mod blindly adds support for IC2 that conflicts with another that does the same. Neither does it help people who don't recognise what the crash means, I'm sure other mod authors would at least appreciate slightly more intelligent bug reports than crash with IC2 fix plz.

I don't know how possible this will be, but it doesn't sound that complicated:
Right now, if 2 things add the same recipe to an IC2 machine (the macerator is notorious for this), Minecraft will crash with a rather unhelpful java.lang.RuntimeException: ambiguous recipe error. Just Googling for it shows it's not a rare thing to occure: [google]ic2 ambiguous recipe error[/google]. The only information that the error returns is the recipe that is duplicated, without even directly specifying which mod is adding either of them. Whether it is possible to log which mods add which recipes without impacting load times I guess might help this somewhat, but most of the time the crash returns the stack trace of the 2nd mod adding the recipe, so you can at least complain to that particular dev if necessary. The main issue with this system is that surely if the recipe already exists, rather than crashing and getting all upset (but without actually blaming any mod, or a more helpful suggestion like Greg might do explaining what is happening and why it's not an IC2's fault), why doesn't it just skip over adding the recipe a second time and putting a fatal entry in the log that x mod tried to add a recipe that has already been added by another mod?
If the only change is to improve the crash message, can the pretty similar ambiguous recipe error for when an item has been added to be processed twice but with different outputs be improved too please?

The new IC2 machines all miss NEI entrys. So for the missing machines look into the IC2 Wiki.
The Blast Furnace has NEI support, it's not like people don't know how to make refined iron, so it could be worse. -

Because 1.8 wasn't going to be much better by having a massive FPS boost and rendering improvements. Don't trust anything until it's been released.

It is the ore dictionary, I've had dyes all being unified to cactus before from it using it with a mod that adds all dyes under the same entry.
