It is very expensive compared to other things. If you make a windgen farm of the same resources it will produce 4 times more. You can even make my crazy CASUC reactor with so many resources (590 eu/tick). That a shitload more eu than with solars.

Dezuman made it so they wont melt

You dont get it watermills are so bad its better to make windgens on top of the world and run a line down to bedrock layer than to make a watermill at the bedrocklayer.
-
It runs fine on my server maybe you do something wrong that causes alot of lag?
Also i made a new CASUC reactor with better tripwires and i tested it with this: http://test.vendaria.net/index…UXXUUUUXXUUUUXXXXXXXXXXXX
Reactor was shutdown succesfully 3 of 8 times which is pretty good considering the extreme amount of uranium in it. With less uranium the chance it will shutdown should dramaticaly increase.
-
Then nobody will use water anymore because you have to babysit all the time to replace the water block or having tons of pumps from every possible angle to remove the waste.. If this comes ingame it should only happen at meltdowns it should not happen with a perfectly functioning reactor.

Lol he said tick not second so your post is really fail. Btw even at 20x reduced cost its still really expensive to make. You can make some nuclear reactors for those maths too and they will make way way more. Or just windgens.
-
LOL @ the guy that says he can get 1000 eu/tick from solargens. That would mean you need 2000 solars. Thats a ton of maths to be precise:
16000 refined iron
8000 tin
6000 copper
6000 rubber
4000 redstone
16000 cobblestone
6000 coal
6000 glassEven if you play nonstop for a week you wont be able to get this.
Oh and wind makes 2-4 eu and it also works in the night. It would prolly output over 4 times more on average if i used those maths to make windgens.
-
Cells must be reusable else i will never ever gonna spend my resources to get some eu back i rather make solargens or windgens which will produce more in the end and will be really cheap.
-
That would break many reactor designs
-
Through with some work you can prevent meltdowns but not always. When sensors come in redpower i may be able to make a truly safe CASUC reactor through its gonna be expensive like hell.

It happened at me when i logged in i think it has to do with chunks loading and sometimes it will jam the system (i saw that the empty buckets where not taken out). Thats why iam trying to make it shutdown when overheated and hopefully in next update of redpower there will be a way to detect items going through pipes. That would make sure the reactor cannot run if the cooling system is bugged.
Also mine had a good containment chamber (4 blocks thick reinforcedstone + some water) so when mine exploded it sucked but it didnt destroyed more than the reactor itself and some reinforced stone. Even the cooling system was mostly instact (input and output pipes where gone ofc)
I think i will make a new version with better safety (like my tripwire topic) only have to find a way to squeze everything in it getting a little bit full in the reactor.
To sumarise this CASUC reactor:
Little bit more risk but it has so much better reward (>100 mil eu from 1 cycle). Reduce the risk by using tons of reinforcedstone and using some redstone circuits :). -
I got it running on 1.23 new items ofc dont have the textures but i dont really care about that atm (not like iam gonna use them all the time).
-
I heard next update of redpower 2 will include detectors to see the items in the pipes that would make sure cooling system is running if the reactor is on even if it bugs rarely when you login.
-
Then we will have 2x copper and tin XD
-
Seriously its minecraft not the real world it would be way more complicated if it was.
-
I see you use redpower. If you want extremely high output and eff i suggest making a CASUC reactor with water buckets. Through not entirely safe it will produce like 10 times more than a normal one.
-
Ye i noticed later windwills can produce more than 3 eu (varies between 2-4 eu or something based on wind). Unless you build your windmills lower or they are obstructed tin wires wont work unfortunaly but not a real problem through. So use copper and if you are really rich and dont care about costs anymore make glassfiber (through if distance is less than 4 blocks it wont make a diference.

lol i posted that like what 4 days ago and now you get angry of it?
-
Ehm it does work...

Too lazy to do it over in wool like i said in 1th post.
