Without the bug, quad uranium cells last 4 times as long, causing the design to go for 4 times as long = explode
since it is a mk1 it shouldnt go any way boom...
/facepalm xd

I'm not sure about this. v1.106 is the most recent official version of IC2, so I don't think we can fault people for sticking to that version until a new official version is released. Restricting bug submits to the most recent version is just going to frustrate the issue, is it really such a big deal to reply with "Fixed in most recent beta?"
Repeat x 10000 yes its a issue then

So atm iam pretty inactive and absolutely have no time to check all post and designs. Last year in university is a tough one.
-
i know
but, tell, do you use beer, crops or coffe by youself (if you play ofc)?Never used it. Have to agree on the part it just has no functional use. Its just there because some ppl find it fun to mess with it.

Locked!
You sure? xd

My Addon, which indeed contains that, doesnt support Tekkit
Lets keep it that way
-
This isnt new ppl did alot better than this already on 1.2.5.
Also i wont have to mention this doesnt work on 1.3.2.

Reactor planner is updated with correct copper costs for Overclocked Heat Vents.
Who's going to go through every listed reactor and update the material costs?iam as soon as soon as university allows me
-
We need to be able to make 1 big generator even if its just to reduce lag.
-
-
if you are using tekkit then your are playing on mc 1.2.5 right?
then all blueprints are obsolete because the components are added in ic 1.106A link to the old topic for the old IC2 reactors is in my list just scroll down a bit.
-
i'm also using the last version of ic2 with tekkit.
There is a stickied topic with a large amount of good reactors. You should look there.

i dont know if this is a bug or what but with this breeder design http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…xyj44hb4tgmsz4pysfqbypkc1
i can run infinte cycles like a mark 1, but the planner says its a mark 3... i run it in my world and have had 0 worrysIt should explode its making excess heat. The cooling cells are getting cooled by 8 but they get 12 heat. So after 2500 secs they will melt. After that the reactor will explode after slightly more than 10 mins.
EDIT: i currently dont have much time i check all those designs above this post later.

Because sometimes... All you want to do is build the biggest possible reactor.
sometimes the challenge is not for the most practical, but to be getting 4000+ EU/t out of one reactor.
Not good enough of a reason to have unbalanced components.
-
Overclocked vents still have their bugged cheap price.

I would respectfully disagree. Instead, I'd say that it would draw heat to itself from adjacent components or even from the hull itself. That is, at the core, what a heat sink does, after all, it draws heat to itself by virtue of being cooler than the surroundings, and allowing conduction and convection take place normally.
So rather than requiring it being spoon-fed, accepting heat but not drawing it to itself, it would be more proactive at drawing heat to itself.
Storing more heat would make cycles last longer, but would make it no less complicated to exchange them. Unless you want to make heat sinks so large that they can store up enough heat for a full cycle, all you are really doing is changing the period rather than the amplitude.
Changing the period is exactly what you need for mkII and up
With minor cooling i mean very little cooling that purely happens because it conducts heat to the outside. Like 1 cooling for 10k cell and 3 cooling for 60k cell.
Also base cooling should return but it should be rebalanced so 0 chamber reactors arent op compared to 6 chamber reactors
-
And rick, forget anything you knew about the old nuclear reactors, since al effort was exactly to make it completely different from the old layouts of nuclear reactors so they don't all look like the same or worked remotely the same.
Current reactor designs are almost completely made up of overclocked vents and component coolers and maybe some heat exchangers. Almost no other component is used. This is actualy exactly the same as the old system which we dont want. We want every component to have a good place.

Hi, this is my first post in this forum so i dont know if this is the right topic.
For me 4 single cells generate the full amount (12mio) of EU shown in the planer, while
a single quad cell gernerates only half of the EU (6mio).So for quad cells the paner will show the double amount of overall generated EU.
I know this is a known bug of the planer but may it should be mentioned in the first official post,
for ppl who are looking for a reactor with highest EU output per cell.if its wrong threat pls delete this post
so long muh0rThe planner is actualy working correctly its the game that is bugged.

Now dont get me wrong realism is good but realism for the sake of realism is bad in a game. It has to benefit the game in another way than just realism.
All the nuclear reactor needs now is some rebalancing of the components. We got alot of them but only a few are used. Largely because alot of those components are almost useless. Cooling cells for instance only store a little bit of heat which isnt enough to make proper mkII+ designs.
