I thought you didn't need to move an MFR mining laser? Just plant it over bedrock and feed it energy to get ores to spawn from thin air.
Not thin air it actually pulls ores from the ground there's just a huge radius. I think it is 8 chunks every way. My setup moves every 1 real world hour (Because of diamond depletion)
It did random gen them at one point though. It might be a config thing that I changed when I was trying to make other mods harder as well.
Redstone in motion with an mfr mining laser on it. I have it going through a mystcraft world. It is chunkloaded by chicken chunks. I also have a bunch of other mining lasers mining for diamond, redstone, iron, copper, tin and gold. It gets power from a huge power plant back at my base generating it from boilers and fission reactors (Not fusion fission from atomic science) also with some treadmill power thanks to my endless wolf supply.
I think Greg should just add the liquid blocks and make them do real life things like combust or kill the player instantly by freezing him (Liquid Nitrogen).
You should do something like Forge Multipart did with there micro blocks. They put a config that you could put in an item ID in and then you could make it a micro block. Except for gregtech it would be machine covers.
With this I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Also I was looking through your code and couldn't find were you stored your extractor recipes.
Code-wise or image-wise? If you mean image-wise, GIMP. I used a GUI image from FrogCraft, made the upper part all grey then pasted the slots / tanks / energy sign over. The name of the Inventory and the TileEntity is not on the image itself though.
If you mean code-wise, you'll have to specify that question or it doesn't make any sense (at least to me).

What did you use to make your GUIs?
You can automate all my machines (and now generators!) with a single pipe from any side. That's why my Crystalliser got so many tweaks, because that's complicated as hell for 4 inputs.
The Monochromatic Generator will turn things into scrap ore, only ignoring Air, Bedrock, IC2 and GT Blocks. Maybe also all kinds of TileEntity. Also, it will remain disabled (it's not implemented yet, the chromatic generator is) until I can provide a way in my config to add new Block IDs to that list. Before I do that, I want to make a Crystalliser config to disable every recipe by writing its OreDict-Name in my config. So those are the priorities atm
But yeah, coding generators is quite easy if they don't have an internal storage (which I'll also implement).
You should try to make your generator generate electricity to the amount of the one in mine factory reloaded. I think it's a bio generator or something but It can generate electricity of of anything that's a dye.
So I've been in modding for a while now but recently I decided to make and IC2 addon and I wanted to add an extractor recipe but whenever I try I get some weird error about ItemStack not being allowed to be used with newRecipe.Extractor So can you check this code out and tell me what I did wrong.

The method addRecipe(IRecipeInput, NBTTagCmpound, ItemStack...) in the type IMachineRecipeManager is not applicable for the arguements (ItemStack, ItemStack)
Isn't this is how it used to work?
This generator would be nice if it effected every chunk in an 8x8 area but itself.
I am just going to add this to my single player world soon but before I do I was just wondering if green dye had its own variation in your mod because I do not want this making obtainability of pipe waterproofing easy. If not could you add a config.
P.S. Theres some mods out there that support use of 1.6.2 mods in 1.6.4 I'll post them later. Your mod seems to work with this.
IC2 Will always be here. It is so popular people will pick it up and keep updating it. And once someone picks it up it'll probably have a new layout.
But there always might be an IC3 
This is a cool idea. But in my opinion for storing the reactor layout you need a extremely end game disk. This disk should also have priority of were it places the items. So I can place coolant cells in a better are before I place them somewhere else. (Like the ones in the middle are priority 1 and the ones on the edge are priority 2). This should go all the way up t priority 5.
With all these steps in your process you have to take some things into consideration.
1. There is a lot of banned people so the program would be very strenuous on a server.
2. Who wuld monitor evidence? (With the ban / report rate you'd need thousands of people.(I don't think they'd work for free.)

There's no electricity in Better Than Wolves, you must be thinking of another mod.
It's also not supposed to be compatible with anything else; BtW is balanced around itself only. It has a specific Biomes O' Plenty plugin that generates terrain using only vanilla and BtW blocks, but that's as far as you can mod it: BtW-specific plugins.
No I said resource wise. By that I mean I have stacks upon stacks of wood and steel by the time I finish BTW. So I can go straight to late electric age I only have to make 1 or two Bronze Age machines.

It is also a pain to get non conflicting with some "Essential mods like Applied energistics and Biomes o' Plenty."
Actually if you're looking for a mod that's an extension of vanilla, go with Better Than Wolves. It's an order of magnitude harder than GT and feels much more like vanilla minecraft than GregTech.

A small amount of people know you can paint gregtech machines different colors with IC2 Painters. (This also changes interface color.)
But virtually no one knows you can paint Gregetch pipes different colors to not make them connect just like IC2's wires. This can be very useful to make compact designs.(Note like IC2 Pipes 2 pipes have to be different colors to separate not one colored and the other not)
Hey Greg, love the mod.
I've started building vertically for space efficiency. When coupled with factorization's router, applied energistics, and "barrel" style layouts (1 EU cable in the center surrounded by 4 of the same machine on each layer) you can make some very compact designs.
My suggestion is including a transposed mode for your multiblock structures. What I mean by that is making the component layout not necessarily in the x-z plane. In particular the fusion reactor. The other machines like the blast furnace could have some strange looking designs come out of it for advanced machine casing efficiency (number of advanced casings per machine block). This would ultimately be a more aesthetic change but could have some interesting consequence. I'm also not familiar with the ins and outs of minecraft and modding so I don't know how practical building multiblocks in the x-y or y-z plane even is from a coding perspective.

Mostly because If this happened I could have a tunnel with fusion reactors every so now and then that you walk through. This would supply power and look awesome. And from playing Gregtech for a long time now I know you eventually get to the point where making a fusion reactor is like making a furnace (Didn't say you would get there soon).
