Fixed and reuploaded... I should not code at 4AM. Forgot one single number...
The next real update (non bugfix) will likely take some time. 2-3 weeks i guess. The next step is porting the GTExtras modular armor into GT5exp and since i wrote that armor half a year ago i will likely rewrite most of it before porting.

Well, I tried forge 1424 and the server had a few errors, is this an issue or is this normal? (note I did install Industrialcraft first successfully.) Server and client did connect though so I am hoping that's just normal errors in IC2 after adding Gregtech.
With the broken Forge versions, it is impossible to join the server, so that what you have there is unrelated. It seems to be correctly handled, so no problem.

We use Sonic Ether's Shaders and unfortunately, the required GLSL Shaders don't work above Forge 1448. According to your post, multiplayer will break with those versions. I was trying to run Gregtech 5 Unofficial. Is there anything I can do besides giving up the shaders or no?
You can try forge 1424 or older. But Forge 1448, GT and multiplayer does not work and there is no way around it.
Found and fixed. Size nessary for harvest was smaller as size after havest... Seems all other crops are fine.
Do you use a harvester or special tools? In my testworld it goes back to prior stage as it should.
I would guess that the old Kirara world is still on GG0.5 but that version runs server side only, so it should be possible to connect without. So likely there is another mistake in the modlist. Also i had quite a bad time in the past to get the right configs. Some were broken and i could not join with them.
Found issue and fixed. The check was basicly if GT Ore = allow growing...
Only metalblocks and non GT ores were correctly checked by oredict.
But without any ore it does not grow, right?
GalacticGreg 1.x is for GT6. For GT5 you need GalacticGreg 0.x
What about configs? Also a look at MT scrips would also be nice...
And what exactly are the plans about a real start? Who is taking care of the server and how garanted is longevity? I personally want to start playing GT5.09 on a server soon, but currently i'm a bit unsure to trust in kirara...
I have currently no idea how to code a chunkloader, but it is on my to do list. I'm also not sure what happens when only the machine is loaded and then mines blocks in unloaded chunks. I guess they will load, mine the block and unload again for every block. Thats natually not a efficient way, but as the miner is jumping from chunk to chunk, loading like the enderquarry is also not possible.
My general idea about chunkloading is also a bit special. I think about cubic or exponential growth of running costs per loaded chunk. So that it be comes possible to chunk cheaply load at LV age but quite limited number of chunks. Over time it is then possible to slowly rise the number of loaded chunks as the base is growing but at a certain point it becomes so expensive that more efficient use of chunks is better. Another function is certainly needs is turning off after the owner does not log in for a certain time.
That is what i plan to do. plastic directly into normal string.
I guess a cutting recipe for carpets is a good idea to rise the output(1 wool -> 2 carpet). And finally a assembly recipe for maybe 6 string and some dye (less than crafting) into 2 carpet? Also a soon to come recipe: synthetic fibers from oil/plastic, so it would be possible to insulate cables that way.
To insulate cables in 2 different ways would break the recycling code and changing all that is a bit annoying.
Could we pease stick to english?
It is all in NEI and somehow logical that one tier is before the next. Also the achievements should give that information. Where else should i list that? Also everywhere else does progression work without extra notice. If players made it to fusion, this last step should also be possible.

All asteroid ore veins in the End also generate as "Empty Ore".
Long fixed in GalacticGreg. That version is just not yet on kirara...
