I don't think this is limited to RP2 or forrestry as tin & copper in IC2 only installs don't work either. Other materials macerate fine so it must be ore registry related.
I feared that might be the case - but had no way to tell (I use the same ore textures for IC, RP, BC and Forestry).
Yes, you can make an iron furnace out of 8 iron (unless that recipe was just removed).
I must say, that forestry is hellova addon for mc, that biodiesel (biofuel) is just pure goodness, no more pesky oil grabbing.

There are several oil geysers within visual distance of one another, very close to the spawn.
There is a cave entrance literally 2 meters behind where you spawn.
Also a couple of volcanoes and a nice ravine nearby that leads to a very extensive underground cave network - and an abandoned mineshaft below that.
Not sure what IC2 features would be present on the seed, we'll have to wait and see.
If you uninstall this add-on, all you will lose are your treetaps. When it's updated, reinstall it and build new ones. Sounds like a small price to pay...

Just wanted to let you know that the Rotary Macerator is not working on RedPower2 and Forestry ores such as tin and copper. Sounds like it's in need of integration with the Forge Ore Dictionary (however that's done). I know Arsenic's fix was working for those ores.
Aha. So you are trying to run a server... and it tells you that IC2 is missing?
Did you, by chance, download and install the IC2 1.337 Server software?
When you are playing "offline", you run the client - this is also what you will use to connect to a server. Your server, however, must be running the IC2 Server - even if it's on the same machine.
I'm sure someone here who does that sort of thing could tell you more.

You make it sound like failure to assign and adhere to an arbitrary release date constitutes some kind of broken promise.

Wait until it's ready, however long that takes. If you can't, find something else to do in the meantime.

I have heard (and then read) different though, the notion that the earth was flat wasn't as widespread as we have been taught to believe. Maybe you should do some research into that.
