I'm afraid that I can't vote correctly, as I like kittens enough to impact my vote.

This... really does remove any need for Glass Fibre, even if the recipe requires a few. Make one cable lead out of your base, and just split it off to all the places you want. From there you just need a few transformers.

Gives a use to HV wires, though.

And not losing any EU at all is unrealistic, even for Minecraft.

lol. Yeah I would easily take compressed solar panels any day over the advance machines. But then I want the furnace removed <3

If for nothing other then consistency.

... Maybe the Solar Array implementation should be a different thread? Adv. Machines is, originally, created for faster Macerators/Extractors/Compressors. The Solar Arrays were just a side addition that was added later. However, it's such a good idea, it's hard to ignore.

The nice thing the old Adv. Machines have over overclocked ones is the added inventory slots on the right, and less power usage (on operation).

But this brings a question. At what point does the amount of overclockers cause the T1 machines to use more energy then the T2 ones? Considering the 1EU/tick constant usage of the T2 machines while not being used. This is another graph I would make, if I wasn't lazy. :S

If he wants to go the 'Only 1 Tier of Machines with upgrades' Route, then he should remove the Induction Furnace...

If he wants to go the 'Tier 1 Machines with upgrades, and Tier 2 Machines, powerful, but can't be upgraded, and can be surpassed by Tier 1 eventually with enough upgrades' route, he should add the others.

Regardless of the choice, I hope he adds the Solar Arrays, as they're just genius, and not totally expensive/OP. (Other then space requirements.)

Yeah I agree. Induction furnace alone is better then all 4 of the advance machines. Bring us the 3 others or remove the 1 were confused by this type of game design hehe. But for sure bring in the compact solar panels. This will fix so many players issues with the slowdowns and such.

The new overclocking system I guess is neat but its a bit rough. Uses a lot more power to get a decent speed and it makes starting from scratch a bore fest hehe. Maybe bring them in and disable them by default in the config?

Or have Advanced Machines integrated, but allow people to choose if they want the Adv. Machines, and if they want the Solar Arrays. Separately, as some people might want the arrays, but not the Adv. Machines. Or vise-versa.

Effects: Every time a processor (Compressor, Macerator, ect.) processes an item, it has a 1 in 32 chance of producing an extra item for every Efficiency Upgrade. For example, 32 Iron Ore + 1 Efficiency module can be macerated into 65 Iron dust on average. However, the effiency upgrade is very energy intensive; each one will add between 5 and 20 EU/t to the machine's energy consumption.

Iron ore->2 Iron Dust->2 Iron Bars->2 Iron Dust

As you can re-macerate the bars back to dust, this can cause an infinite loop of gaining material if it works with a Furnace.

Also seems a bit overpowered. Chance to compress two Uranium? Two Diamonds? It would also have to ignore anything that can't stack, as well.

We need a graph to show the relative loss in damage the laser does, over range, and how a bow compares. Just to see where they are equal, and the bow surpasses.

... I might do that sometime. Maybe.

Well you could still burn the coal-clumps used to create diamonds... or if we are going this directions, why not directly burn the diamonds? As much coal as we put into them they should be huge and would burn for an awful lot of energy.

I don't think burning Diamonds is very realistic- Even for Minecraft. (Ignoring the EE AntiMatter Relay here, at least.)

Would be a bit overpowered if the EU wasn't dropped.

There could be a BC-Integrated add-on in IC2 that lets you run water THROUGH it, with pipes... Would be an interesting idea.

Watermills generate 2eu/tick while manned, last I checked... So, you would get a bit over 8 solar panels every time you craft a single (two, technically) watermills.

8, assuming Night lasts it's entire time, and a bit over due to weather.

PS: RP2 Sorting Machine+Retriever can let you do this OP thing with water buckets.

PS2: Watermills suddenly seem amazingly overpowered to me. If the Adv. Machines mod isn't updated soon enough, I might just go pure watermills.

Trying to hack any IC2 item in results with a 'Item with ID#### does not exist'. Making any item from IC2 results in being kicked from the server as you try to pull it out of the crafting grid. Furthermore, all world generation in regards to IC2 didn't happen. No ores, and no trees.

Non-Bukkit server, fresh install, fresh world, and only IC2, and RP2 installed. (With the required bla-bla's in the right order.)

I'd be scared to use my 1.0.0 world, considering what the OP said, and what I've seen.

8| (Strangely, the RP2 BatteryBox does the DC thing too, I need to see what error I get from that... Tomorrow. Today? Later, then. I'll get errors later if I can.)

So what will happen with ADV Machines now when IC^2 gets overclock upgrades to regular machines?

If Adv. Machines gets the same upgrades, then the reason to use the advanced machines it to:

    Save Energy.
    Save Materials.*

*: Costs a ton to get a bunch of the upgrades.

Edit: This is ignoring the fact that it saves omgwtfalot of space with the Solar Arrays.

    Also... EV Array? :D
