Nice work Ras, and thank you!
I was tired of putting everything on excel.
The assembling machine material is a nightmare to calculate...So, any plans to add a way to export the result to a txt?
Or calculate more than on machine and save the materials list?
Just realized that you can put more than one machine on the list. Awesome... -

Oh man, 5.09 got me all hyped!
Bloody, I think once you mentioned the disassembler being practically useless (my words), because it required an absurd amount of energy to disassemble an electric tool. There are any plans to change this?
Edit:
***
Disassembler:
Lowered runtime for higher tiers.
***Ops, just read it.
Thanks for that! -
All Thaumcraft Clusters can be dropped from Gregtech ores with the Pickaxe of the core. (I test it with GT Lead gives 1 Lead Cluster)
You can make own recipes that clusters give Crushed ores if this answer your question. If not ask againLook at this Mod it adds a bunch of Clusters.
Wow, that's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you very much!
And that mod you pointed out seems cool too, I'll try.
Too bad it hasn't all gregtech ores, but i understand whyI don't know much about minecraft modding, but, would be possible to add an EU consumption config on Greg machines? Or that has nothing to do with minetweaker, and I should ask Bloody instead? (I wanted to halve each tech tier consumption, so higher tier machines would be more attractive, instead spamming lv ones)

Oh, thank you!
I'm a little tired of steam turbines, so I'll play a little with the electric one.
Maybe later I get the other one. -
Hi, it's me again, asking another question ( I hope that's is the right place ).
It's been a while since I setup a Nuclear reactor (last was a couple years ago, in 1.6.4), and was wondering if it changed too much.
I was reading the IC² forums and they mention a Hu output (heat unit, I assume), so that means that I'll need to do conversions to get EU now (heat -> steam -> EU)?
The Reactor that outputs EU directly don't exists anymore?
I asking here, because I only use IC² with gregtech, and want to know how it would work on a GT environment. -
Ah, so you increases the voltage to minimize the losses.
Thank you very much, that was really helpful. -
Thanks SpwnX, that is what I was looking for.
So, we have to use a lot of transformers, because the 4 amp limitation...
The first layer is made with redalloy cables and Ulow level transformers, second one with copper cables (or any other, with less possible loss) and low transformers?
What's in the middle, connected to the wire?Well, thanks for the pics, I'll try something alike

Hi Guys,
Does anyone knows a functional solar power generation design to share?
Each solar panel seems to generate 1EU/t, so how I convert that to 32EU/t, being that the first transformer is a 8 <-> 32?
I was thinking something like this:
S S|S
S T S
S|S SBut that would generate 1EU 8Amp per tick, and the transformer acepts max 4Amp/tick, right?
How I make this convertion? -
You built your multiblock inside a chunck's border, right?
-
So... I'm not following you anymore, lol
I was looking for an easy way to compensate the amount of energy required each tier, by doubling the energy production, because is easily done on the config (I assume).
Also, SpwnX said Z is the internal loss. How increasing would solve the problem?
-
Hi Choco,
You are affimarting what I said, right? That machines halves the process time each tier (working 2x faster) and consuming 4x more eu to do so.SpwnX,
Thanks for math.A question:
You said: "An adv steam turbine consumes 528 mb/t (128*4 + 4*4) of steam to produce 128 EU/t"
So (X * Y + Z * Y), where:
X is the Eu/ T (128 );
Y is the consuption (4mb);
Z is what? You used 2 in the first formula, 4 on the second. Tier exponential progression? 2, 4, 8...?And if a 66% turbine uses 3mb per Eu, why not consumes only 96mb per 32eu, instead of 102mb? Where comes from the last (Z * Y) ?
-
Hi guys,
So, in G5, each machine tier higher increases speed x2 and Eu consuption x 4, right?
Well, I didn't liked this quadruple raise, what would be the best way to adjust this, to keep the ratio as 2xSpeed 2xEu?I didn't found the Eu usage on the configs, but I know i can adjust the generators efficience.
So to correct this, should I double each gerenators efficience on the config to correct that?
Ex.: Steam generator from 66%, 50%, 40% to 66%, 132%, 264%?
Or that would unbalance the game in a way I'm not predicting? Thanks for your time!

I don't think stone bricks will work, even in the Assembler. However, a block of iron or a "Bricks" block can also be used on the crafting table, it's just that, like I said, those recipes are hidden from NEI unless you disable that annoying "hide secret recipes" option in IC2.ini.
Oh, that's right, it was the iron block. I must have been creating too many stone golems lately, it seems =)
Hmm, I didn't knew about the crafting table, I assumed that those recipes only worked in the assembling machine for balance sake.
I'm happy though, I like to create the macerator as soon as possible, next time things will be easier. -
You do need diamonds for a steam or basic macerator, but there are other ways to get them:
2. There are a couple of alternatives to obsidian for making a coal chunk to compress into an industrial diamond, which are normally hidden from NEI, though I don't understand why, since I don't know of an in-game way to find out about them.
That would be Bricks block and stone brick blocks, but to create a coal chunk that using then, you will need an Assembling machine, or at least, it's how it shows on NEI.
Obsidian allows you to create it on the crafting table, way earlier in the game. -
Under GT5, do I have to use diamonds (either directly or to craft a pickaxe for mining obsidian) for creating my first macerator?
I tried to mine obsidian with industrial TNT but it didn't yieldAnd if yes, could somebody kindly tell me where does PFAA generate diamonds?
A Cobalt or Thaumiun Pickaxe can harvest Obsidian.
Or if you found any diamond equipment, use can use the Hammer to turn into usable diamonds. I did that to a Horse diamond armor to get my first macerator.Atialien: well, it's weird, if the fan is spinning, it should be outping Eu. Anyway, I will not use it so soon too, will keep using the basic ones.

That s not Possible. The turbine multiblock is only building up when it s facing South or East in 5u.19. Which turbine Rotor did you use?
I Didn t test all of the Turbines. Possibly it s a Problem of the Turbine Rotor. Small Gold and Small Osmium and all creative Turbines (small/medium...) didn t work. At least not for me.
Sorry, It was East. I used a Small Thaumiun turbine.
I did a really quick test, and on the first try, I put a battery buffer directly on the dynamo hatch output, and it did not seemed to work (maybe I just put it wrong, though). After that, I used one cable to attach the dynamo to buffer, and it started to charge.Edit: I used steel inputs and a MV dynamo hatch, if it makes difference. Two inputs at the sides, Maintenance and output on top.
And thanks to Asp, for clarifying about the ratios =).
