"Lol you failed miserably... I don't even have a ship. This is an underground base of a volunteer army against the spambots. AND WHY THE F*** DID YOU JUST SHOOT DOWN CHAOS??? He's NOT a spambot thing, if you didn't notice during the last, like, TWENTY YEARS. Where did you all come from, even? I was just using an item teleporter to teleport a linking book to Blaster, who is stuck in some alternate dimension, and then you just show up here, ramble about spaceships, and shoot each other? And I don't even have a crew... Will you just please get out of here, I'm trying to get ready for a bombing raid on a spambot base..."

At this time, one more spambot randomly appeared on the item teleporter.

"Get down! It's iridium plated!", a soldier yelled. I just got in cover behind a few crates. I grabbed my laser, and blasted away on the spambot. The lasers were just reflected. I pulled out my conventional gun, started shooting, and the bullets were zapped by the personal forcefields of the spambot. I took the biggest rifle I could find, sneaked behind the spambot, then... hit it in the head with my rifle, penetrating the shield and denting the heavy iridium, mashing up the circuits in the head of the spambot. It instantly went out. Then I destroyed the teleporter.

So, the spambot chemical strike on the city of Niho, where I was at that time, was far from the only. Immediately after I recovered, I volunteered for the army. Due to being a veteran from the First Spambot War, I was put in charge of a small commando-squad. The army is quite loose, and discipline is nearly nonexistent, mostly due to it - for now, atleast - being an army of volunteers. In a few hours, I'm going on my first mission - I'm going to take my squad to a spambot base, to mop up after a bombing raid. It shouldn't be too hard, but I won't be overconfident. The spambots nearly allways have nasty surprises.

To anyone who can here this, I have repaired my ship and I'm trying to return the Minecraftian dimension, there appears to be a temporal gap between the Minecraftia age and the dimension i am currently in. There is a way around it however I require a link book in order to complete the teleportation sequence, If you receive this, please respond so that I can send a link book from this dimension in order to receive the link book from Minecraftia.

Hmmm, it would seem that Blaster is in need of help. Let's see, I actually have a few linking books lying around, but they all link to somewhere in a desert. Oh well, it is better than nothing.

Done, now I just have to prepare myself for the upcoming mission.

Maybe just give them different burn-values in different machines? That would men that it would have a lower heat value in a boiler than in a stirling engine, and a lower heat value in stirling engines than in generators. CovertJaguar did something like this for charcoal in boilers.

They came like a lightning from a clear sky. One noon, I was eating breakfast, when suddenly, the raid alarms went off. They had not sounded for twenty years. I scrambled down in my cellar, as none of the houses had bunkers anymore. A few minutes later, a poisonus gas flooded the city. It was even poisonus to me. I vomited, which I could not remember when I had done last. I started getting dizzy, and within moments, I fainted. When I came to, I was on a hospital. I felt weak, and I quickly realized why - the gas had turned me back into a normal Steve, after having been a wither for half my life. But now, I actually felt more alive than before. Alive and ready to kick some spambot metallic ass.

The fleet that was about to invade Minecraftia went into hibernation, all activity ceasing.
    *CHAOS was slain by chaos*

The spambots were defeated. Now came the time for rebuilding Minecraftia, rebuilding all that the spambots had destroyed. And most important of all, the setting up of more advanced reCaptcha shields, so that it would never happen again.

It happened again. The entity known as CHAOS was dead, but all along, it had only been a puppet. We thought it was in control of the spambots, but actually, the spambots made it, and controlled it completely. Now, in the chaos realm located at dimensional coordinates 9001, after twenty years in hibernation, the spambots had made an army of millions of spambots, hundreds of thousands of starships, and cannons so powerful, they could pierce a reCaptcha shield. And now... they started a war, which would be more devastating, more deadly than the first. And most of all, to win it, it would require big bravery - and even bigger guns.

    2) Beta decay. This comes in two forms, Beta+ and Beta-. Beta- is this: n -> p + w-, w- -> e- + ve, Beta+ is this: p -> n + w+, w+ -> e+ + ve (where the ve should have a bar over it*). The total energy here is usually about 1 MeV, but since the neutrino is not usually detected, the energy of the beta particle (the e- or e+) ranges from 0-1MeV.

Just have to correct you, it's an anti-electron neutrino in beta- and an electron neutrino in beta+, not the opposite.

I said CONFIG, Greg. Like, the allmighty config file. So that people can choose the conversion rate.

The suggestion I came to post: More thaumcraft compatibility, complete with lots of magitek.

Flux generator: Now, Azanor described Flux as being ripples in the still pool of aura. Ripples=motion, motion=energy. Using the Law of Energy Conservation, that energy can't just disappear, but the aura wants it gone. Therefore, a generator could be used to reduce the flux AND make small amounts of energy from it. There will be a high loss of energy to heat. This would of course have to be researched, so it would be added once thaumcraft 3.1 is out with additional tech trees.

The magic energy converter should be able to reverse polariy, which would eat up eu to boost the Aura.

You could also add an upgrade, which makes your machines capable of using vis to accelerate the processes, at the cost of generating flux.

Any and all interactions between GregTech and Thaumcraft would, of course, have to be researched. The research tech tree is most likely THE best way to nerf things, so that the Flux generator won't get overpowered.

EDIT: And if you think that magic and SCIENCE won't go well together, well, in a world with magic, magic would be a branch of science. In fact, Thaumcraft is the most science-like mod I have ever seen, due to the research system, which simulates gathering empirical evidence, which is one of the principles of science - theories need evidence.

No, it's just that my entire life I've been teached protons are + and electrons are - and suddenly, in physics class when we were studiying about radioactive radiation we learned that alpha radiation gives off positrons... the entire classroom was like, MY WHOLE LIFE IS A LIE ;(

It's beta+ radiation that gives off positrons, beta- gives off electrons. Because electrons are, as you said, negative, and positrons are positive.

EDIT: I'm gonna post a suggestion here, and due to PAGECLAIM!, you have to add it.

A config option for the efficiency of Michael Jackson->European Union conversion. Because when you add the steam engine upgrade, your argument for the very low efficiency will be invalid :)

Just a question: I think some of the GregTech recipes are too hard, but the other recipes are too easy. If I came up with some "soft-core" GregTech recipes, would you then be willing to add them to the mod as a seperate recipe scheme in the config?

Instead of a "nano bow", make it a compound bow. Its arrows would also fly faster, and it could maybe have an awesome targeting reticle. Maybe the 9 weapons of iConflict will become 10?

Instead of a new overclocker, I think the should add an expensive "energy-efficiency upgrade", which would decrease the amount of energy used, but not make the process longer. If both an overclocker and an efficiency upgrade where used at the same time, the machine would work faster, but only use marginally more power. They wouldn't completely counteract overclockers, however, and they would be insanely expensive.

If you do not have NEI installed, the recipe is as follows:
    (S)[0](S)
    (S)[C](S)
    [0](B)[0]

Where (S) is a steel plate, [C] is a circuit, (B) is an RE-battery and [0] is nothing. If you are on an older version of GregTech, use steel ingots instead of plates. Hope I could help :)

I started processing the wrecked cruiser. I would have to get ready, and fast. Another spambot cruiser exited slipspace. I send a probe into it, hijacking its production systems. Now, the thing they produced were not spambots, but mini EMP's.. Exactly stron enough to take down a spambot, but not more than that. Within a minute, all spambots aboard the ship were fried, and the spam-o-matics were simply destroyed. The probe went to the central computer, where it hooked the ship up to be completely under the control of my ship, which again was linked to my mind. I was now in complete telepathic control of two ships - a spambot cruiser and my own cruiser. I downloaded plans of the spambot cruiser, so that I could always reverse-engineer it.
Just as well, for in that moment, five other spambot cruisers exited slipspace. One exited on top of "my" spambot ship, causing atomic bonds to be broken and a huge explosion to follow. I activated the turboboosters and backed away, the firing a few nuclear torpedoes. Missiles were not needed, as the spambot cruisers were not agile enough to require a targeting system. The four remaining cruisers were destroyed. But then, all hell broke loose. 4 destroyers; heavily armored but very agile, 6 torpedo-ships; nimble as flies, a battlecruiser; big and powerful, and a battleship; big, slow, armored, and very hard hitting. And that was bu the spearhed of the new spambot space fleet. Even if the Phoenix had been there, I don't think we would have got out alive. So I entered slipspace and warped back to Minecraftia. It was time to make a - maybe final - stand.

A hope appeared to me: The spam-o-matics could be reverse-engineered.

It was actually added all the way back in IC, but without a crafting recipe. It acted like a minecart with furnace - no gui, and not rideable. It had no texture, so it was just a white box, and its item sprite was that of a batpack. Then an update made it really buggy, and the plans were scrapped. But IC2 can draw on the near-infinite power source that is the mysterious Forge API, and maybe the ALLMIGHTY DRAGON-LORD MODERATOR ALBLAKA will bless us with electric locomotion by old fashioned rails.
