    Wow, that was a fast reply. I didn't notice you can get it through centrifuging various metal dusts, I only saw the platinum-to-nickel-and-iridum centrifuge recipe.


    Edit: Did you know it's slightly profitable to electrolyze water cells, then split them into hydrogen and oxygen, then burn the hydrogen cells?

    Have you considered making some of your machines compatible with ComputerCraft as peripherals? In particular I'd like to be able to read the time remaining on centrifuges and matter fabricators (I'm using a slightly outdated version, before electrolyzers), but as the matter fabricator is my most advanced machine I haven't seen for myself what would be useful on the more expensive machines. Some ideas though: (of things that could be useful to read using ComputerCraft)

    • Fusion reactor - EU stored
    • Fusion reactor - whether it's currently fusing
    • Fusion reactor - number of cells left in the input slot
    • Fusion reactor - time left in this operation
    • Lightning rod - EU in internal storage
    • Quantum chest - number of items stored (including output slot)
    • LESU/IDSU/AESU - EU stored
    • LESU - Output eu/t (maybe not, since this doesn't change by itself)
    • Centrifuge - time remaining
    • Matter fabricator - EU remaining


    Also, your GUIs open on the client and server, when they should only be opened from the server - remember to check World.isRemote.

    I dont really understand why so much hate... If you dont like the mod you dont need to install it.


    "Don't like it, don't use it" is not always a good reason to not complain.
    Would you rather have a good mod that you use, or a bad mod that you don't use?



    And as far as interfacing with other mods, the only uses so far has been the ability to use other mod items for gregtech recepies.
    Generally speaking if mods dont have a good way to become interoperable with other mods I end up not playing them, and i think gregtech and plugins for forestry really make a good addition and makes everything feel a whole lot more connected and enjoyable.


    Sure, but adding most-likely-unbalanced recipes for a not-yet-released mod is a waste of development time and user confusion ("How can I get these dusts?")



    And as far as anyone giving him the right? No one because he doesn't need it, he made his mod so he could play it how he wanted to and isnt forcing his style of play on anyone. If he was on the IC2 team and just started implementing stuff that would be a different matter but as it is a 100% optional addon I feel the argument is moot.


    I don't see why it's a problem if the IC2 team adds stuff like this to IC2, but not if the Gregtech "team" adds stuff like this to Gregtech.

    Seriously? You need 8 to even start with the high tech stuff (for a matterfabricator)

    Why jetpacks? Make Iron man suit (Tier 2,5) with lithium-based storage!
    Utility suit: Protect up to 60%, can fly (boots), charge tools (whole suit) , speed bonus (40% as quantum, leggings) , recharge suit overtime (integrated infinite fuel mini-nuclear reactor in chestplate, only active while player is wearing, outputs 2EU/t to whole suit), Lazor/tesla (auto-attacks hostile mobs, until charge is below 50%, helmet).


    I don't want that, I just want a jetpack that doesn't need to be recharged every 5 minutes. (with lithium it would be every 50, a huge improvement)
